First time trying Chicago deep dish pizza. We ordered small pizza half supreme and half margarita. The margarita pizza was delicious, one of best margaritas I ever had. We also ordered calamari which was excellent and some drinks. Waiter Gabriel was excellent. He knows the products, he was very courteous and attentive. Overall, one of the best experience I had at a restaurant!

When you’re hungry, waiting can be difficult,
but this was one of the most enjoyable waits I’ve ever experienced.
The welcome was warm and fast,
the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful,
and the appetizers were excellent.
But the pizza… that was a whole different story.
It truly deserves to be tried,
and I’m already excited to visit again.

I was in Chicago Downtown for just one day and I wanted to try Chicago style Pizza while I am in Chicago.
I went for Goirdano’s and I can confidently say that the place did justice to Deep Dish style.
We tried one All Vegie Deep Dish and another Chicago Tavern style customized with chicken breasts.
Both of them were outstanding. The deep dish was flavourful and Cheesy while the thin crust has this smoky flavour which made it stand out.
The ambience is great, the service is outstanding. We certainly annoyed our server but he kept a cool head and served us well with some “not regular” requests.
One thing to callout will be that please ensure you have enough time. The baking time is 45 minutes. So you are gonna wait a while if you order Pizza here.

Giordano’s at Navy Pier was decent overall. The service was okay and they let us know ahead of time that the deep dish would take a while to cook, which it definitely did. We waited around 45 minutes to an hour. The pizza was fine, but I think my expectations for deep dish were a bit too high so I ended up feeling a little disappointed. Still worth trying once if you’re curious, but it wasn’t the standout experience I thought it would be.

Our server Kerri was very nice! We sat at the bar, and talked with a couple of servers and I believe the owner. He told us about the history of the tavern style pizza. The restaurant is fairly small and seating is limited. We knew going in we would have to wait about 30 mins for our food. As soon as it came out of the oven it was delivered to us. I’d never tried a deep dish before, and was very pleased with the flavor! My husband got the tavern style gluten free pizza. It was by far the best GF pizza we’ve ever had! We highly recommend this place!

It’s my first time trying a deep dish pizza. So don’t have much to compare against. The crust on the side was nice and crispy. A lot of cheese and sausage. I enjoyed it.
The smallest size is 10 inch, which was more than enough for the two of us. Would be enough to feed three people.

Yiyo Francisco was absolutely amazing and gave us incredible service. Super friendly and light hearted! Gave us great recommendations with a good sense of humour. We are very full after some delicious pizza!!

Pizza wait time was 45 minutes. It tastes good outside of the crust, frozen dough maybe? Enjoyed the salad and the wings were the surprise of the meal. Wait times long. Tight seating and noisy also. If you want pizza at the pier you will wait for it. Other good options at the pier of wait times is important

We had the best time with great service that made up for the day we had. We were all dressed up because we were supposed to go to a party at the Old Post Office, that fell through. So, then we came to Navy Pier because our friend was working there, but after she got off. She was too tired to find us, and went home. But, the service at the Navy Pier location was the best we ever had from any location we have ever gone to. They took our order while we waited for a spot so we didn’t have to wait long after being seated. They were genuinely sad for us when we told them what had happened. (They asked why we were dressed up.) They had a photographer there that took our pictures. The pictures came in a very nice and well made picture holder. (In attached pictures.) The whole staff was a blessing and wonderful service. They made a bad day end on a good note! They even helped us at the end to figure out what else we could do since we came out so far. I’m leaving a 5 star review after waiting over 2 hours for a table so you know the food and service is good! The double pepperoni deep dish was everyone’s fave. It has classic flavors on an amazing crust. I have always been into NY or thinner crust type pizzas but this has changed me.
