I honestly don’t understand the hype around Adams Lake Pub. The prices are way too high for what you actually get, and the experience just didn’t live up to expectations. The food came out barely warm and tasted pretty average at best. For a place that markets itself as a nice lakeside dining spot, the service felt rushed and inattentive.
The view of the lake might be nice, but that alone doesn’t make up for mediocre food and the long wait times. If you’re charging steakhouse prices, the quality and service should match—and here it just didn’t.
Definitely not worth the drive or the money. I won’t be going back.

We were thoroughly impressed by the 18 oz ribeye I’ll be it $65.00 that is absolutely a fortune, we had a gift card to use so it was ok, the Same with two crab cakes for the appetizer, he order the fish dinner and I would order that again in the future there was able food for him! 140 bill so we had 100 from the gift card.

They always have really good fish dinners and the burgers are fantastic too. My kids love the chicken strips there. Cocktails and martinis are very good and strong. It’s a great date night place, you can eat at the bar or at a table with a view of the lake.

We had an amazing experience on the Grand Re-Opening a couple weeks ago! The service was so good… She was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable, and funny. The food was excellent. The soup, fish, shrimp, and wine were perfect. And there was music in the bar area (we requested a table near the music), so we had live entertainment while we dined. We will go back for sure!!

Not bad, not great – average. Let’s talk about the bar counter. Its got a weird hump on it, which I may be wrong but I’m guessing that’s designed for people to rest their arms when they’re all in their drinks, but it makes it feel real awkward when you’re trying to eat a plate of food, like you’re eating out of a feed trough. Never seen any other countertops like this any place else.

My folks love the lobster bisque. I grew up with this restaurant, and seen it under different management. The one consistent does seem to be the soup. 🙂 My burger was fine, neither bad nor outstanding. The veggies were fresh, the fish were fried just right, and the staff was friendly and attentive. All in all, a good experience. You can’t beat the view! You need reservations!

I had probably the best ribeye steak I’ve ever had. It was cooked to a perfect mouth watering medium rare. My wife had the filet, which she also enjoyed.

Sitting by the window looking out at the lake, at a clean well stocked table. The mood is set.
A special occasion dining with my godfather and sharing an evening together. We sit down and order a new york strip and a king cut prime rib.
Upon arrival our food is hot and fresh, and perfectly prepared. All the while our service is top notch and the promptness warrants a compliment.
From the first bite his new york strip was tender and hot, and to the last as good as the first.
My prime rib was without equal. The best I’ve had in a restaurant. Everything was as it should be.

The best steaks in Northeast Indiana for my money. And the overall experience was one I’ll remember.
No complaints, nothing but satisfaction and warm memories. I highly recommend this establishment.

We had reservations which are highly recommended as the bar seating fills up fast.
Started with crab cakes appetizer and salads. She had the filet mignon with potatoe soup and I had the sirloin with baked potato. Both steaks were cooked to our preference, we took the chocolate lava divine cake home. The whole night was wonderful and will be repeated.
The Adams Lake Pub is more than a just a Pub. I think of it as an upscale restaurant with a semi-casual feel.

Kayla, our waitress, was phenomenal. The service and friendliness there is top notch.

Make a reservation, as they get full quickly.

Cleanliness is 10/10
Service is 10/10
Food is 10/10
Drinks are 10/10
Ambiance is 8/10 only because the interior is outdated. I’d rather have 10/10 food than 10/10 ambiance with 7/10 food…

The portions are fairly large, so be advised. We ate an appetizer and bread before our fantastic meals, and barely had room to finish them.

The blackened catfish is outstanding, and even better than when I caught and cooked my own. It is wild-caught catfish and is not over seasoned.

My dish was a bed of long grain wild rice with a large catfish residing atop. Besides it, a loaded baked potato that looks to be from Texas with how massive it is.

Overall, the ambiance is great, though it is indeed outdated. There are a handful of fish tanks that kids and adults love, as well as a nice view from the deck/patio. They have a handful of liquors to pour at reasonable prices.

The main event, for me, is in their fish selections. They are incredibly delicious and fresh. Does not disappoint.

I’m only sad they’re not open every day. It is truly a delight to dine here.
