The food here is excellent, and they do a great job refreshing the buffet. The staff is very friendly and quick. They keep the place clean, but it could use a refresh/remodel (Their sign outside needs new lights installed).

If you wish to find FRIED ROACHES in your food this is the place to go. We had just sat down to eat. Had literally taken 2 bites when we found roaches in our food. I immediately requested to speak to the manager/owner and was told that they would at first but then told me that he wasn’t there. I was told that they HAVE NO CONTROL over the bugs. That THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A PEST PROBLEM and there’s NOTHING they can do because pest control goes to the restaurant. They said, “sorry but we can only give you a 10% discount because we do inventory. I said that IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE for them to expect me to pay when clearly i had just sat down to eat and hadn’t even taken a sip out of my drink. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT WHATSOEVER. They clearly have a pest problem and are unreasonable. They Simply don’t care about their customers .

Food is amazing! Their choices are delicious and the food is good quality. Their service is good for the most part except for the refills being a little slow at times. Interior is nice but could use a little updating. Overall a great place to eat in Hampton Cove.

I really enjoyed the lunch buffet! I sampled the baked salmon, sweet and sour chicken, “Indian” chicken, rice, butter potatoes, black pepper chicken and chicken with broccoli. Everything was nicely seasoned and delicious. Well worth a scenic drive over the mountain from downtown!

I think I know the issue here. I have come early, like around 5ish, food was great, hot, fresh, staff was great, very kind and attentive. However, when I have eaten here around 8ish on a Saturday(they close at 10), service was lacking-we had to put dirty plates stacked on edge of table to get picked up and our cups sat there for a long time before they noticed it needed refilled, food on the buffet was very old. Fried shrimp breading was rock hard and shrimp inside was rubbery. Couldn’t eat it. Frog legs had sat on the warmers till the meat inside was hard. Chilled shrimp was mushy, didn’t finish those either. So, I have been very pleased when I came early, and I was sick when I came later. I’m thinking they dont want to waste food by making/putting it out nearer to closing. Which, being a restaurant manager before myself, it’s part of management. Knowing how much you will need to make sure every meal is hot and fresh. Won’t eat dinner there again. Will be a lunch spot. I’m including some pics from our meal. Those are noodles in the one.

Staff did not speak English well and atmosphere was dull and dark often seen in Chinese restaurants resulting in 3 and 3 rating. Food is a winner here in taste and freshness. Ordering from the menu gets a large, flavorful plate of food. Buffet food is good but variety is poor with shrimp, chicken and desserts dominating with only one or two pork and beef choices. Price and quality is very good but not a 5.

The waiter was very nice. I ordered from the menu because I don’t eat much at once and wanted to have some left overs to take home. I took the whole meal home, and guess it will be thrown away. I ordered my fave, sesame chicken. The chicken was tough and hard, the broccoli was tough…I don’t care much for rice but it was about all I could eat.
I have eaten there many times over the yrs but recent times haven’t been as nice an experience.
I dont think I will go back, and I am disappointed by that thought.
