Excellent place during the Christmas season to grab a quick lunch or dinner. Great Christmas decorations this year. Dinning room lights over the tables are impressive after dark. Food is always hot and comes quickly. You’ll get a relaxing meal in this large dinning room unlike most KFC’s and local fast food restaurants.

They are franchise any advertisement published on there website they don’t honor the cashier very rude and comes at u very rude. Brenda the manager said they don’t honor anything that the corporate puts out about prices. And when I ask why she said we are franchise and you can contact who you want. And said have a good day we stayed but I feel if something going to be advertised online it should be honored. Nothing was cleaned and they just laugh at whenever you tell them the bathroom needs clean and that there grease on the ground. All food was old and everything was closed down for seating and drink dispenser isn’t cleaned. And dishes were stacked up and seating was shut down in the lobby areas nothing was sanitized or wipe down while I visited the restaurant. Hopefully there be better experiences elsewhere.

My experience at Golden Coral in independence was horrible. I went and got bourbon chicken and as I was about to take a bite I saw a very long string of hair that looks as if it were cooked into the meat. I asked for a manager and he approached my table in defense. He argued with me and said it’s not his hair and no one working here has long hair. He said there’s nothing at all that he can do about the hair found in my food. His name is Ernesto. I will never come back here. He was rude nasty disrespectful and discriminate.

This place has went majorly down hill. It used to be one of my favorites and was a huge pregnancy craving with my daughter who is 11 now. The food is not the same and it was messy. We went in Fri night. My daughters dad got a steak and a salad to start. He took 2 bites of the steak and the 2nd bite got stuck in his esophagus. He tried to make himself vomit it out for a good 35mins while I sat at the table and nibbled at my salad and sweet potato. Finally once we realized it wasn’t coming up anytime soon we asked if there was anyway my daughters dad (the one with the steak stuck in his esophagus) could at least make a box to go since we had spent 45 dollars and barely ate. The manager could not have cared less. Basically said that since it had been an hour (it had not. Our ticket said 617pm we spoke to him at 648pm). That he wouldn’t do anything. The server even told the manager she hadn’t cleared any plates. He was in the bathroom the majority of the time and I was picking at a salad. My daughters dad has been admitted to Liberty hospital since Saturday morning because it still has not come up. He is scheduled for surgery this morning to get it out. I think I’m going to file a dispute with my bank for at least his portion of the bill since golden Carrol refused to do anything at all. I wasn’t even asking for a refund. Just asking for him only to make a small to go box considering the circumstances. I will never go to this place again. On top of this situation it’s just not good nor the same anymore.

Our family of 8 people went to this location to eat the buffet on Christmas Day. It was the first time we had ever eaten out for a holiday meal. The restaurant was very full with a line to get in that was a little long but moved quickly. The managers were in the middle of the restaurant directing traffic and helping people to find tables. WE HAD A GREAT TIME! The food was very good with all the Christmas favorite foods plus a variety of other items. The employees were all great and seemed genuinely happy to be there. We would not hesitate to visit this location again in the future.

I had good memories of this restaurant from about a decade ago. It’s nothing like it used to be. I tried everything I thought I would enjoy. But ended up just eating a salad with a side of fruit, and leaving hungry. It gave me flashbacks to high school lunch. Only reason it’s not 1 star is because you should expect this kind of food quality for a 13.99 buffet. Not sure if they still do the cook to order steaks, but couldn’t get the employees attention to ask. I refuse to shout over the glass for acknowledgement.
Had to ask for silverware (I had already loaded an entire plate) and was told “my waiter was bringing it to my table”. Which was true, but leaves me under the impression this is a full service restaurant. Yet my friend and I, had to walk past the cashier 3 times for a water refill.

One of the staff actually tried tampering with our drinks. Like no joke we came back to our table and I noticed the lid on my son’s cup popped off. I smelt it and everything seemed fine. Even tasted his and didn’t taste tampered with. I tasted my water and it smelled and tasted like someone had sprayed cologne into it. Even asked my girlfriend and her mom and they both said the same thing. I confronted the staff and the man I assume was the manager smelt the water and even agreed that it smelt like cologne. The one that I suspected got super nervous and fidgety. Not a single word was spoken to this man prior so not a single legit reason for tampering. There lucky I didn’t call the police and file a report. Was obviously messed with.

Went there on Christmas management said they closed at 6pm. At 4pm same guy who said they closed at 6pm came around yelling the bar close in 5 minutes. server never came to out table. All the employees looked and acted as if they didn’t want to be there. Spoke with Manny (the supposed owner) about the issue he is the rudest, arrogant un professional person you could ever hold a conversation with, I thought I was speaking to a very emotional and unstable child. He took no accountability for nothing that transpired that day. The food, the early closing the employees mannerisms. I seen some of the employees eating the food behind the bar. The place was dirty, chicken tasted as if was cooked in old grease, amongst other things. Regret wasting time and money at this place a Quick Trip hotdog would have tasted better. Customer service is trash. I could definitely see this place becoming extinct in a few years.

When we walk in we have to get our own drinks. Then stand in line to pay while holding our drinks. A manger was arguing with two different customers about different things. Food was subpar it was not good at all guys. staffing in the dining room were very nice That’s about it. Golden corral is gone downhill.
