Their sushi and rolls are pretty good. You might leave hungry if you order the lunch special. My son’s had the chicken teriyaki lunch box but ended up ordering another roll special. But if you’re not a big eater you’ll be fine. My son swallowed his lunch box. They charge you for hot tea. Didn’t know.

The staff are engaging and very polite. My son loves this place, he loves their Japanese strawberry soda! Their warm sake is very good and their food is amazing!! We took my son here for his 21st birthday last night and the staff were beyond accommodating and had many laughs with us. We go just for great sushi at phenomenal prices. We would recommend this restaurant over and over.

The staff are charming and the service is excellent. The place is handsome and clean. I had the chirashi bowl. And strangely all the fish was half frozen and had an earthy, dirt like flavor. I’ve had a lot of sushi in my day but never anything that tasted like that. It wasn’t enticing. The plate was beautifully arranged although it only came with a quarter cup of rice. Maybe it was an off batch?

Pretty good prices for most. Some of the sashimi you can tell is held over. Def don’t go on Monday or Tuesday’s. Guessing their orders come in midweek and Fridays. Ginger salad and miso soup left you wanting. Decent enough for sushi in Middletown de. Nothing special

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Sushi Yama. We started by sharing the rock shrimp tempura, a long t8me favorite.
We appreciated the opportunity to review the extensive roll menu and choose our favorites by marking them on the provided paper. I would like to see the roll menu look a little nicer and cleaner. It appears worn and haggard.
The food was served quickly and was visually beautiful. All rolls tasted great. The roll with the mango did not hold together, though, making it difficult to dip.
The service was spot on. The dining room was not crowded on a Monday night and we were seated comfortably at a booth.
Looking forward to our next visit!

This was my first time but surely will not be the last. My granddaughter had a variety of sushi. Everything was so fresh. Go good. Loved it all. She also had the teriyaki salmon with rice which she says was good.

My boyfriend and I had come here sort of on a whim since we were in the area. The service was great and the sushi was delicious. The lady who took our order was very helpful with recommendations from the menu and explaining some of the menu items. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back again!

Our first time at Sushi Yama definitely didn’t disappoint! It’s a comfortable restaurant and although it’s clear they do a lot of DoorDash business (understandably, the food is delicious) this doesn’t have any impact on the atmosphere when dining in. Our hostess and server were so friendly. Server answered all of our questions and the timing on everything we ordered was paced perfectly. They have about 100 different special rolls to choose from, so we are looking forward to coming back soon for more ☺️
