Not many food choices, basic bar food, service was okay the atmosphere is quiet, clean. Not many appetizers, no fries, ordered the pretzel Sticks, cheese is watery. Cold beer. Prices could be better. No a/c or fans!! Those are decorations on the ceiling, it’s 90 outside !!

We were seated right away. Our server was very nice. My husband enjoyed the beer selection. The cocktail menu was nice. My friends got the prime rib & the Cajun chicken sandwich, both of which were very good. I got the beer cheese soup & a chicken Caesar salad, both were good. The fried green beans were a little burnt but still good. Very good entree portions. I’ve also had the fish fry & it was very good.

I’ve been coming to Chester V’s almost every Friday for the past year after wrapping up a day of flying — it’s the perfect spot to wind down for Friday night fish fry. The service is always top-notch, and Annabel and Alex behind the bar make everyone feel like a regular.
My go-to order is the beer-battered walleye with bacon jalapeño gnocchi (trust me, you can’t go wrong). The bar is always clean, comfortable, and has that “everyone’s welcome” kind of vibe. Seems like there’s always good music on, too.
Bonus points if you’re an AvGeek like me — it’s a short drive from the airport and you can sit at the outdoor bar and watch traffic landing on Runway 27 while you eat. Easily one of my favorite spots in town.

Really great stop. Excellent service and the food was good. This was our first visit but we’ll be back. Bbq flair.

We met family here for Sunday brunch and had a great experience. Food was very good, attentive service, good drinks. We have made a note to return for dinner or lunch, especially once the weather is warmer and the patio is open.

Chester V’s is one of those places for the “Old Fashioned Passport.” The flavor profile was particularly noteworthy as it was a short double. The cheese curds taste similar to Milwaukee Burger Company. The cheese curds are adequate, but likewise, nothing to brag about; they are a 6/10. Indexed in the same rating as Culver’s and Milwaukee Burger Company’s cheese curds. It’s a frequented destination for those new to the area and a typical dwelling for the local patrons. The ambiance is pleasant, and the staff is exemplary at their jobs. Keep in mind that it may be a bit too noisy due to the acoustics from the layout of the building if you come in high traffic times, as sound travels across the elongated bar/dining area exceptionally well. (Low ceiling, narrow corridor) Try eating on their outdoor patio when it gets warm.

The taste of this smoked chicken is absolutely 100% perfect. It was one of the best Ceasars I’ve ever had. Honestly.
The atmosphere was extremely pleasant. Bathrooms are immaculate. The womens anyways 😉
Even had tappers at your table. Waitress and bartender were 2 respectful young ladies. Bartender was fast and in the moment. The Waitress did a phenomenal job upselling our table. Great job! She was also so kind to include buttered rye bread for my salad with lots of butter!
Everything was great.
We will definitely be back. Thank you

Went out for fish last night. Decided to try some place new. It definitely was NOT worth it. The clam chowder had a funny taste, the perch was just ok, cheese curds were ‘eh. But the pan fried walleye was inedible $21.95. It was so over cooked there was nothing to it. Also overheard someone behind us complaining about same thing. Nothing was taken off the bill

Server was excellent. BBQ was mediocre. House sauce was good, but some of the meat was tough and chewy. Not good for rib tips.
