Great lunch spot. It is somewhat hidden in the back of the casino. The river view was fantastic. I bet it is beautiful in the summer. I had the chicken marsela and my husband had the bacon burger. He said it was one of the best burgers he ever had. The chicken marsela came with broccoli that was cooked but crunchy. The chicken portion was a little small, but perfect for lunch. The drinks were good as well. I had a NA Huckleberry Moscow Mule. I just had them replace the alcohol with tonic water. My husband had something huckleberry that came in a martini glass with sugar on the rim. He enjoyed it. Our waitress was lovely. Smiley and just the right amount of attention.

The food wasn’t terrible, but I expected better. No wait for a table early on a Saturday evening. Service was pretty good and waitress (Tabitha) was very nice. I ordered the chicken Marsala and hubby got Selkirk chicken fettuccine. My food was closer to a 3.5 but fettuccine was 2.5. The sauce wasn’t very cheesy and a little runny. Huckleberry lemonade was amazing, though. Also got garlic fries as an appetizer but garlic was raw, which was ok but would have been better cooked a little, and cheese wasn’t melted on the fries so it all fell off. Dipping sauces were good. Prices weren’t bad. Paid about $110 before tip for 4 meals plus sodas. We sat next to the window with a beautiful view of the river.

We really enjoyed our meal here. I read a review for the chicken fried steak (which I had been craving for days) so we stopped in. It was a few minutes before “dinner” but they accommodated me anyway. Best chicken fried steak I’ve had in years! And large portions, I had to take the leftovers home. The staff were exceptional, especially our server Megan. She was attentive, well knowledged, professional and friendly. Will definitely come back! Excellent customer service.

Fun place to eat. Great atmosphere with nice river views. Service is good and quick. Food portions are small and the quality is poor. Salad bar is out if 4 or 5 items. The fries were battered and greasy. The steak was tiny and so tough I could hardly eat it. Unfortunately the food here is really hit and miss. The resort really needs to find some consistency in food and services can’t recomend this place until they work it out.

I had heard that it had gone down hill but I had no idea how far. After five minute wait to be seated in a almost empty house the waitress was fairly quick to ask us if we wanted to order a drink. The huckleberry lemonade started my disappointment. A dozen huckleberry raisins tossed in a glass of tap lemonade should not be four dollars. Fifteen minutes later she came back for our order.
The very limited menu consisted of everyday appetizers, burgers, a couple of steaks and pasta dishes or a salad. Nothing interesting or original at all. Almost no sea food to be found and what was there was terrible.
After a forty five minute wait our order arrived. We tried the spinach artichoke dip and calamari for appetizers which consisted of lightly baked bowl sour cream with A artichoke, a couple of spinach leaves and chives with a pita. The calamari was fresh from the pre breaded frozen bag. The Ahi fingers were no better. Fried, greasy overcooked tuna on a bed of cold rice with a side of very oddly sweet and cold peanut sauce. We did not have the time or appetite to bother with drinks or dessert after.
Over the last decade the springs has gone from a decent place to take a date to one step above a bad Vegas line buffet.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!
Had a 5 day getaway to Bonners Ferry… This restaurant was recommended (thank you Audrea). We ended up eating here 3/4 nights. Every dish we had was WONDERFUL. Great portions. BEAUTIFUL scenery on the river. Fabulous servers (Tessa, Kahaila, Megan)! Lots of laughs. Overly filled bellies. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a hearty and hot breakfast of chicken fried steak and eggs. Hash browns were perfect and the eggs exactly over easy. The chicken fried steak was very good, if a little on the salty side. Service was great and kept the hot coffee coming. Hard to beat the view as well.

Had a very nice breakfast overlooking the Kootenai River. Our waitress, Annie was very pleasant and the food was excellent. I had the lighter French Toast which was the perfect amount for me. My love had the Southern Benedict and it was a large helping of food. We recommend Springs!

Breakfast at the springs is included with your stay at the Kootenai Best Western, and it was one of the best complimentary breakfasts I’ve ever had at a hotel!!! You get to choose one item off of the menu and everything my coworkers and I got was amazing! Huge portions and absolutely delicious! I got the B&G’s and as you can see HUGE! Also our waitress was fantastic! Highly recommend!!
