We randomly came in on Wednesday which happened to be AYCE Wings for $14.99. Incidentally, the sauces tasted like crayons which is a weird observation. I’ve never eaten crayons before. I looked it up on the way home and apparently, it’s a common descriptor for spoiled fat. It’s a chemical reaction that creates stearic acid after fatty proteins have expired. Taste and smell are connected so most people can relate that off-flavor to the smell of crayons. I got two different sauces and sadly, they both tasted like it. Fortunately, it’s rare to get sick from it but unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy the food. The burger was also extremely dry and flavorless. We would have told the server but she barely checked on us–didn’t come back to verify the food was okay, drinks were empty, and she didn’t ask if I wanted more wings (even though I would have said no). There were maybe 4 tables of 4 people or less in-house, 2 servers, and 1 bartender. There’s honestly no excuse for any of this. This was my first Blue Shark experience…and, you can guess where I’m going with that.

Stopped in to grab a drink with my boyfriend and we loved the atmosphere and our fancy drinks!
Our waitress, Camryn, was absolutely amazing! She was on top of everything, attentive without being overbearing, and always made sure we had what we needed. Sweet, kind, and genuinely friendly, she brought such warm energy! Great service really makes the experience, and she definitely delivered. We’ll be back!
Thank you Camryn, we told all our friends to request you!

We just went and I wanted to share our immediate reactions.
Not good.
We each had the Friday fish fry. It was an all you can eat but none of us wanted any more, and two couldn’t even finish the first serving. The serving was large but we didn’t finish it because it wasn’t good.
Nothing short of starving to death could induce me to eat another bite.
It was greasy, frying oil dripped from the fish. The breading was way over done, the fish was’t just breaded it was incased in batter, crispy thick, greasy batter.
The fish was tasteless, which combined with the slimy texture made it merely revolting.
And the bill for this not at all delightful meal was over $60 w/tip. (The servers and host were great.)

after reading some of the reviews i was a little optimistic about trying this place out but im always willing to give it a try for myself before writing it off. i’m glad i did! our waitress was very sweet and attentive even tho it was considerably busy and there was a large party. we wanted to try out the Wednesday special which is all you can eat wings for $15 with a purchase of a beverage. wings were crispy and good overall pretty basic but definitely very good for all you can eat so no complaints on that. between two of the wednesday specials a soda a moscow mule and an order of onion rings we spent $70 with a tip and left stuffed.

Have a great experience here.
Shark Punch drink was delicious. Great flavors to it.
Spinach Artichoke appetizer was delicious. Came out hot a fresh.
Margherita Flatbread with added pepperoni was also great.
Service was also amazing. She was patient with us while my friends and I chatted. Didn’t rush us to order or anything. They were not busy when we went, I’d say inside was about half full while there was plenty of seating outdoors also.

Came in for dinner, food was pretty good. Warm, served quickly. The service that was provided, by Chyna, horrible. Little communication, and when there was it came with a ‘my shit doesn’t stink attitude’.

To end our visit, she charged a wrong amount to one of our cards. No communication, left the table with 2 tabs still to run. The manager returned with a ticket to physically sign, again no communication with what had occurred. Just another ticket to sign for an additional charge.

When leaving, all that came with it was how we needed to hurry up, sign the check, and get out. She hovered waiting for signed check and said “You ain’t even gotta tip me.”

No thanks, Chyna.

The best part about Blue Shark Alehouse is their Daily Specials which offer great value if you can eat a lot.
My friends and I visited twice for their All You Can Eat Wings (which can be boneless upon request) and their All You Can Eat Fish Fry both of which taste pretty good, especially for the price!

I really appreciated the wide variety of sauces available for their wings some of which were very hot and very flavourful which keeps things interesting. I have no complaints about it.

Their fish though is a bit more of a mixed bag. Your first order of fish comes with a complementary order of crinkle cut fries and includes two fillets but do know that your second, third, forth etcetera doesn’t and additional fries will cost you extra (I would’ve really liked to know that before ordering as it caught us off guard when it came to the bill. I feel it should really be disclosed either before ordering or on the menu.)

I was also slightly disappointed that there is a unexplained 3% Service Fee applied to the bill which is expected in addition to the usual 18-25% tip.

It’s not a lot but as a matter of principle I find it a little dishonest and disingenuous to advertise one price to the customer and online and then inflate it later without disclosure. This should absolutely be removed and instead factored into the regular menu and incorporated into the price of ingredients as any normal business would do if their expenses went up.

Overall though. I think it’s a pretty good place to go if your in a big group. It might not be the best food in the world but it’s got a great atmosphere, tastes good and honestly even with the fees and non-disclosures it’s still relatively cheap.

They’ll definitely earn an extra star from me if they increase their transparency in this respect and take my feedback on board.

Stopped Saturday Night for a few beers and food. Place was very busy but we were seated in a timely manner. Took awhile to get out drinks but food was good. They do have daily specials with $2 off Burgers on Saturdays. Would recommend since no reservation is required and seating always available.

FOOD POISONING WARNING.
I was just here on Saturday 1/31 with 3 other people. We all were very sick from our food after eating here and believed that we got food poisoning.

On top of this the manager was very rude, even towards simple questions. I have had more than one unpleasant experience with her. She is snarky, rude, and very blunt with her customers.

The wait staff every time I have been in there has also always been just rude or not very attentive to their tables. I often have to flag the wait staff down to get assistance.

After a handful of unpleasant experiences, I will no longer be eating at Blue Shark due to all of the above.

To the General Manager with blonde hair and tattoos: Do Better. Fix your attitude towards customers.

Fries were borderline undercooked, onion rings that had no seasoning in the batter and onions were mushy with no flavor (probably bought pre-made) , salmon on the salmon blt was not seasoned, not wild caught, and therefor flavorless, and the burger patties were pre-made, frozen patties that were not seasoned when cooked so they were also flavorless. Also, what kind of restaurant has a kids menu, has cheeseburgers, but doesn’t have a kids cheeseburger? I had to order a full size cheeseburger for my 5 year old who absolutely wanted a cheeseburger.

Aside from the food (which is a very important part), the service was almost decent. Not super busy, but did sit with an empty glass for about 5 minutes. Whatever happened to once a person’s glass half empty, have another one on the table? The atmosphere was decent.

EDIT: After the owner responded to my review, I did reach out to them within a couple days. I have not heard back from them. I feel like they just put that there to make it look like they care. That was over 3 weeks ago now.
