A good breakfast spot. The waitress brought a whole carafe of coffee (bonus points!) I ordered the usual eggs, bacon, English muffin, which was good and she went out on a limb and ordered a chicken fried steak skillet. A little bit later she was informed that the kitchen was out of gravy, but would she like hollandaise sauce instead? She went with it and it wasn’t bad. Would have been 5 stars if they had the gravy.

we were in Minot for the class B girls basketball tournament. someone recommended that we go here. We took the whole team there. Wow, it was amazing, the food and service was top notch. The owner actually came out and congraduated the girls on making it to the state tournament and wished them luck. The service was great and the food was amazing. Will definitely stop again, next time I’m in Minot.

Food was bland. Portion size for price is good. Tomato soup was chunks of tomato in milk. Country fried steak came with mushroom gravy (very bland, no seasoning) and not country gravy
The pies are the BEST.
Service is good. Definitely need some young blood in there.

We came there for dinner after seeing the air museum…it was really quite not like going to other restaurants were everything is loud….the young lady who was our waitress was very nice and I had a hard time deciding between the waffle with strawberries & whipped cream and the 21 piece shrimp I chose the shrimp..Idk what the sauce is called they put with it but i am glad my friend suggest I try it..it is really good..so if your new to visiting in town ..I really do suggest this restaurant…
The bathroom had a leak idk from what but I’m glad the waitress let us know before I used it and even the man who came to clean it up…was kind enough to knock and say hello so he knew if someone was in there or not and I really appreciate it..he even apologized thinking he rushed me and he did not.,very kind employee….

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. I absolutely love this place. It’s cozy and inviting, and beautifully decorated. The food is fantastic and the staff is very nice. Everything in the salad bar was fresh and delicious, and my fried cod was the best! My new favorite place in North Dakota.

This a really neat restaurant. The name gives a great description of the vibe inside. It’s rustic, interesting and clean. The waitresses were very nice and the service was excellent. My Homestead burger was quite good and the fries were excellent. My wife had the steak and eggs and it looked incredible. Unfortunately the hashbrowns were a soggy mess and the steak was mediocre at best. The prices are very fair, it’s a shame the steak and eggs was well below what you want…

Great service! Owner made us our own fresh coffee pot for the table!! We are traveling vendors and the breakfast was amazing! Great to find a “home away from home”. Will be eating here everytime in Minot!

Had previous bad experiences here but after about 3 yrs decided to give it one more try. Unfortunately nothing has changed. Service was very slow, food was cold but coffee was good. My husband and I both ordered Eggs Benedict. The eggs yokes were cooked hard and instead of hollandaise sauce they used cheese sauce. Use to be such a great place to eat.

Had a wonderful dining experience at HOMESTEADERS RESTAURANT. The waitress and staff were wonder and kind. I got the blackened salmon dinner with the unlimited salad bar and tasted wonderful.
The prices on their menu have been updated than their online menu shows. However, the prices are very reasonably priced.
