Benjamin’s opened in 1996 by Ben and Peggy Bruns. Originally a summer restaurant, the building was renovated in 1997 into seven private dining rooms that were open year round. In 2007, Benjamin’s underwent another major renovation. This included an enlarged kitchen, adding indoor/outdoor versatility to the bar, and the introduction of “Jamin’s,” an outdoor dining area including a fire pit, bocce court, and gazebo stage. In 2011, the awning area became a permanent pavilion with removable walls for al fresco dining in seasonable weather. In 2019, Benjamin’s came under new ownership and continues to offer delicious food, a rich atmosphere, and excellent service.

We were well pleased to be taken as a late brunch table this past Sunday. A former local suggested we go there after a youth hockey game without the understanding that they closed at 1pm. We were seated outside on perhaps the last 78 degree day of the year and as a result of them seating us so late we had the patio to ourselves. Everyone was well pleased with their food choices and we enjoyed being outside and together on the lovely patio.

This is one of the restaurants which has been there for quite a while in Indiana, PA where the food and atmosphere is overall well liked by people here.

First time visiting here! We had the Pittsburgh steak salad and chicken bruschetta panini. Everything was wonderful and delicious, we didn’t have long of a wait either for our food to come out. They offer inside and outside seating which was also nice.

Dined here on a Tuesday evening. Great service and very good meal. Felt a little chilly sitting by the window, but hey, its winter! Take a sweater. Waitress was efficient without hovering. Everything we ordered was delicious.

I used to take myself out to lunch all the time, but after two years of being with my partner, I’m so used to doing everything with them. Today was the first time I took myself to lunch and almost 2 1/2 years. It was really nerve-racking, but my waiter and new trainee were extremely welcoming! They made me feel that much more comfortable being there by myself. I’m so bad at remembering names, but I greatly appreciate them. The food was amazing. The service was wonderful, my family and I eat there all the time. I will definitely be back by myself again!

We enjoyed the salmon and chicken marsala. It was extremely tasty with just the right amount of seasoning. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the dishes and tailored them for us. This was such a pleasant dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are visit in Indiana.

We dined here at Benjamin’s last evening (Friday, August 1st) and were served by Joey. It was a pretty busy Friday night, but that did not affect our service one bit. I had the Maple Whiskey Salmon and it was divine. There were beautiful flowers around and the atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxing. We had conversation with Joey like we’ve been friends for years! It was a great experience. We will definitely be returning.
