Reviews
We had the chicken and rice, and the roast pork for mains. Pork was very tender and well seasoned. The chicken and rice was great, but the salad with it was amazing.
We had the little cookies for dessert, which was good for sharing a small dessert.
Overall, it was great. Just know, small kids are not allowed so it is great for date night away from kids. Reservations are needed.
Love the atmosphere, quiet and not rushed.
People’s comments on price, you get what you pay for here. The food was great so it is worth the price.
From the authentic Latin decor and ambience, to the delectably sourced and crafted food… this spot is a 100/5 stars.
You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The owner is the mastermind behind the menu and it shows.
Their homemade sauces will ruinnnn you for the rest of your life, since you will never find any to compare.
I highly recommend their cassava fries and any seafood catch.
Their salads are also out of this world and so uniquely crafted it’s well worth the money.
The food was truly exceptional—worthy of Michelin stars. We started with the octopus appetizer, which was perfectly tender and flavorful. For our entrées, we had the Catracho Beef Tenderloin and the Roast Pork, both of which were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection.
Our server was welcoming, attentive, and impressively knowledgeable about the menu, the history of the restaurant/chef, and the history of the building, adding to the overall wonderful experience.
I highly recommend Chucherias for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in an unexpected location.
The welcoming atmosphere and passionate service make dining here a real pleasure. It’s the perfect spot for those craving a taste of genuine, wholesome food amidst the monotony. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!
From the moment we sat down, this place had us hooked. The fresh Cuban bread alone deserves its own standing ovation—pillowy, warm, and served with a homemade butter kissed with cinnamon and brown sugar that could convert even the most devoted savory fan. It’s comfort and indulgence in every bite.
We started with ham croquettes and patatas bravas, and both were spot-on. The croquettes were crisp on the outside, creamy and savory inside—like a bite-sized love letter to traditional Spanish flavors. The patatas bravas had just the right kick, with a smoky, tangy sauce that made them impossible to share politely.
For mains, the Shrimp Machuca was a revelation—plump, perfectly cooked shrimp swimming in a rich, velvety sauce that had depth, warmth, and just the right touch of heat. And the Prime Tenderloin filet? Impeccably seared, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and paired with sides that complemented without competing.
Service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance struck that rare balance between cozy and elevated. Every dish felt crafted with care, and the pacing of the meal let us savor without ever feeling rushed.
If you’re looking for a place that nails the details—from the bread basket to the final bite—this spot is a must. We’ll be back, and next time, we’re bringing friends. They deserve to taste this.
