Quite a small French restaurant, the place was well decorated but lacking in space – the entire place probably has a dozen small tables.

Food was very well prepared, high quality ingredients and clearly prepared by experienced chefs.

The steak was well seasoned and cooked to the desired temperature while the desserts were expertly made.

I had orders some escargot and those were shelled and tasted great.

Lighting was moody and any sense of gaudy embellishment was scarce – would be a fine location for a date but not necessarily an extravagant one.

This review is late as we are saying goodbye to Bistro La Minette this month, but it’s still worth saying thank you and adieu. My husband and I have been going here for ~7 years. We had our 4th date here, celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and just cravings for the chicken or other tasty bites.

The food has always been excellent, but it’s the staff that always made it shine. Thank you for happy memories.

Superb dining experience during restaurant week, with no shortcuts taken. The specialty menu had a variety of options for a three course. We opted to add additional items as well. Dish ingredients were rich and savory, while served at a perfect pace. Dining staff went above and beyond.

This is a true French bistro that gives you the ambiance and Provence feel. The food is consistently reliable and their French region dinners are divine with excellent wine pairings. A must if you are in the neighborhood. My favorite is their happy hour offerings with a Kir Royal and Escargot on the menu.

My husband and I recently visited Bistrot La Minette in Philadelphia and had an absolutely fantastic experience. We started with the Escargots a la Bourguignonne, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. For our entrees, we ordered the Entrecôte et oeufs au plat and the Truite meunière, both of which were incredibly fresh and tasty. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the quality of the food.

The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and charming, with a distinctly French feel that made us feel like we were dining in a bistro in Paris. We loved the cute decor and overall vibe of the place.

But perhaps the best part of our experience was the exceptional service we received. The staff was professional, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Our server was helpful in making recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish.

Overall, I would highly recommend Bistrot La Minette to anyone looking for an exceptional French dining experience in Philadelphia. The food, ambiance, and service were all top-notch, and we can’t wait to come back again.

We had dinner here for my boyfriend’s birthday and the food, service, and ambience was absolutely amazing. We ordered the appetizer of the day, Gnocchi à la parisienne, Noix de Saint Jacques, and the desserts were a cherry on top. All the food was above and beyond. Both of us have been to Paris, but with all honesty, Bistrot La Minette tastes way better. Highly recommend for any special occasions for a taste of France in the city of Philadelphia.

Absolutely delicious! We went for restaurant week and got the poached egg & mussels, escargot, trout, rabbit tagliatelle, apple spice cake, and creme brulee. We also ordered the truffle mac & cheese a la carte, which was totally worth it because it was one of our favorites! Other favorites were the egg toast, rabbit, and creme brulee, but everything was fantastic!

I went with my 16 yr old son last night for restaurant week specials for the 1st time. We were greeted and vaccine checked at the door per city guidelines. He is taking French in school as I did and we both wanted to try escargots and have some pretty authentic french cuisine. It was absolutely fantastic. The platings were simple and clean. We started with the escargot and endive salad, our entrees were rabbit and trout and to finish we had THE BEST creme brulee I have had in years….yes almost everywhere offers it now, but most places serve it ice cold (I was taught that is actually wrong) and have hardly no sugar crust to them. This was full coverage and had the perfect “crack” and was beyond a beautiful finish to a wonderful meal. Will definitely be back for special occasions.

I’m so sad they are closing! Very grateful to come in for one last meal here, and to celebrate a 5th anniversary with my love made it truly special. What a fantastic experience – the best food, service, ambiance. Every detail is perfection.

When I was already on my way driving home, the restaurant called me and claiming they got the wrong check from my neighboring table to me so I paid $15 less. Well I did took a glance and saw the dishes we ordered were on the check, but I still decided to trust the restaurant since I didn’t really want to bother anyone for just $15 so I gave my credit card to the restaurant in the phone by their request which security wise wasn’t really wise. I still paid 20% + tips and even apologized that I should pay attention to the check more carefully, but shouldn’t be the restaurant apologizing to me that they got the check wrong??? I never heard it in the phone.
For only $15 I would say just eat the cost for your own fault instead of calling customer for credit card info.
Was going to give just 1 star but since food was overall good, I will give 3 stars for objectivity.
