First time trying Simply 2 Delightful and I ordered the Ultimate Crab Fries — easily the best crab fries I’ve had in the DMV.
The fries were NOT soggy at all, which is rare when you load fries with seafood and sauce. They were perfectly seasoned with Old Bay, still crispy, and came out steaming hot. You could tell everything was made fresh.
They don’t play with the portions either — lump crab, seared salmon, fried shrimp, parmesan, and their Bumpin’ sauce. It easily feeds 3 people.
Customer service was great and the inside was clean and organized. Overall, a solid experience from start to finish.
If you’re serious about crab fries, this is worth the trip to Waldorf.
Definitely coming back.

Extremely Long wait time. Confusion in the storefront (specifically line access and placing your order upon arrival) took far too long to place an order in person. No one was answering the phone lines today due to being “too busy” and online ordering was also shut down. All of the Food was bland. The 10 pc Old bay Wings were not seasoned fully. 3 pc Whiting meal was terrible and inedible. As soon as I opened the box it smelled overwhelmingly fishy. The breading was not flaky or crunch or crisp, and the seasoning was non existent. I Didn’t finish eating it for fear of getting sick. The Macaroni is clearly store bought/frozen and the collard greens taste canned. The mixed Drink was overly sweet and underwhelming. All of the foot Items were sprinkled with dried parsley for some type of aesthetic effect. Do not waste your money here.

I had to wait 30+ minutes to receive just two menu items when the restaurant was empty! Trying to give them grace because “atleast the food will be hot and fresh when I get it” – nope. I ordered crab fries and the fries are soggy but they were just made??? not a single one was even close to being crispy. The sauce is too sweet and does not go well with the dish at all. Barely gave any crab on top either. Wings had almost NO sauce on them. Terrible. No one even apologized for the delay and that’s what really inclined me to leave this review. Never going back and would NOT recommend, if you’re contemplating this place don’t waste your money like I did- just go to Legacy’s! At least they’re reliable.

LIKE THAT! Their Chicken Cheesesteak Combo ($15.99 with American, & provolone cheeses, onions, peppers, mayo, a drink, & fries). Thick, plenty of chicken, nicely seasoned, & good!!
STAMP!! Their Wings ($12.99 ten fried wings with their sweet heat sauce). Nicely fried, & crisp, that sauce sent these over the top!!
STAMP!! Their Fried Catfish Meal ($16.99 with 2 pieces of fried catfish, Mac n cheese, & collard greens). I shared this dish, & everyone that tried it STAMPED the catfish, & greens!! The Mac was nice, & cheesy…LIKE THAT!!

Overall the food was horrible. The mac and cheese is completely dry and doesn’t taste like anything. The collard greens are sweet . The seafood salad is the most disappointing thing ever it is a sour vinegar taste without any seafood. The turkey wings were seasoned and very good. I paid over $40 this place is not cheap. I called to request a refund for the $20 seafood-less salad and I’m waiting…

I visited this new restaurant and was honestly blown away. I ordered the crab fries, fried fish, greens, and hush puppies — and everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing. You can tell the kitchen really puts care into their food because every dish was well put together and full of flavor.
The hosts were truly hosting — they greeted us as soon as we walked in, super friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu items. Their energy set the tone for a great experience.
Overall, I’d give this spot a 10/10 for customer service, food preparation, and taste. I’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I were a little disappointed. The steak and cheese, though seasoned well, was mostly bread. My daughter’s chicken tenders were good and she liked her greens. Unfortunately, we didn’t like the crab cake or mac and cheese. The salmon, on the other hand, was delicious . I’ll definitely get that again. I do plan on revisiting and ordering something else on the menu

Where do I start! I was HIGHLY excited to try this locally, black owned, soul food and more carry-out! I wanted to share my review with my followers! I ordered the CATFISH dinner and TURKEY wings dinner. I even checked the toast tab payment screen as the cashier Saniya ring my items up. After my 45min drive home just to find I have the wrong dinner! I had TWO turkey wing dinners not a CATFISH and TURKEY wing dinner like I ask of! (PROOF BELOW) Pregnant and wanting to eat after a 45 min drive doesn’t make it no better! Than after tasting at least my correct sides those were nasty! The Mac & cheese was very plain and falling apart! No cheese pull or taste. The collard greens were VERY salty as well and the rice very mushy! I am very upset at this experience an outcome. I really wanted to show my support and love but this wasn’t a great first impression.

My first time at this location. I ordered the shrimp poor boy greens, mac and cheese and cannot forget about dessert- rum honey bun cake slice. I will be back! Next time you’re in the area stop through and have some lunch or dinner to take home! Highly recommend!

The shrimp po’ boy was packed with perfectly seasoned, crispy shrimp and topped with fresh ingredients that made every bite flavorful and satisfying. The crab fries were the perfect side—rich, delicious, and loaded with real crab flavor.
The portions were generous, the food came out hot, and the flavors were on point. If you’re looking for something delicious and fulfilling, Simply 2 Delightful is definitely the spot. I’ll absolutely be coming back!
