My how the mighty have fallen. We moved from DeKalb roughly six years ago. When we lived there, we frequented Tapa. The service wasn’t always the best, but the food held up. Last night we were in town for a party and we stopped by for tapas and a couple of cocktails. We were told our cocktail order was delayed because the bar staff needed to wash the martini glasses. Really? All of the food was awful – truly bad. Had I made anything like it at home it would have never made it to the table. Greasy, flavorless, weird. Plus, the order was wrong, the service was slow (that is an understatement), and the place seemed to be operated by young people lacking experience which is not the vibe the menu and prices dictate. Very disappointing (also an understatement).

Great date night out with my wife. We shared 4 tapas plates and enjoyed house cocktails. Guitarist provided live, mellow music in background. Bacon wrapped dates, bacon wrapped scallops, stuffed mushrooms, and thai lobster spring rolls were all fantastic. Server has very helpful with descriptions of food and cocktails. Excellent experience.

Nice place, a little disappointed with the dishes. I had paella. The sauce was too spicy. I only got 2 shrimp. 2 clams were served with no meat (empty clams).
It was tasty, but too much rice and not enough other stuff.

Excellent restaurant. We focused our dinner on tapas, getting a variety for the table. Just because it’s tapas don’t expect Spanish food, it is not – the inspiration comes from many types of cuisines. Overall we liked them all a lot, and the desserts were also excellent – particularly the chocolate cake. Our server was delightful and contributed to our having a great night. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Wonderful restaurant with very reasonable prices. They often have live music which is a great touch. Unfortunately they only have one TV above the bar, and it’s rather small. But overall the quality of food and atmosphere is hard to beat.

We worked with Hannah for our wedding which she catered. We went through many different venues and found Hannah to be too good to be true. She helped every single step of the way and couldn’t have been more wonderful to work with. She knows her her stuff. You’re in excellent hands with her.

What a great time at this restaurant! Went here on a Saturday night and they had live music (two guys playing guitar and harminica). The service provided by Paige was great. We had the Spring Rolls and bruschtta for an appetizer.. Dinner was a selection of the sliders and the special lamb chops with mashed potatoes. Really enjoyed the local beer selections and ambiance. We will definitely be back!

Would comeback when I have much more time. Thought an hour and a half would be more than enough time for tapas and a few drinks before a show at the Egyptian Theater, it absolutely was not. I understand tapas are supposed to be consumed at a slower pace, but for being so close to a theater and having let the staff know we were going to a show, the service was slow and the food took unreasonably long to come out. 3 Seared scallops should take minutes. We waited almost a half an hour. In conclusion if you have time it’s worth a try, if you are going to a show make sure you have at least 3 hrs before it starts.
