Our doughnuts are made from scratch each morning. The dedicated team of bakers starts their magic at 3am to make sure you get the freshest, most delicious product every single day. Our glazes and fillings are made from scratch too. Sure, we buy a few decorations (Oreos, sprinkles, gingerbread men) but that’s pretty much it. Ten flavors change each month along with a new doughnut cake and specials. We ship our cake style doughnuts nationwide, but not our yeast(raised). We’re proudly part of @thegallowsgroup, woman owned, and inclusive.

I just went here for the first time. I’m vegan and there were so many options for donuts! Approximately 1/3 of the donuts are vegan. I also got a matcha. The special flavor available right now is blueberry lavender matcha. I like sweet drinks and this one tastes like cereal milk, it’s delicious! Service was amazing as well, I asked for recommendations and was very pleased with everything I got. I will definitely be back! I also parked in the free purple garage.

Wow- so bad! So bad that my kids didn’t want them. The donuts taste bready and stale while costing triple of the cost of Dunks. The flavors were either too sweet (toffee) or not sweet enough(weirdly, Boston cream- one of the sweetest donuts out there). The service wasn’t good either. The girl serving us wasn’t hostile or anything. She just seemed like she was just broken up with right before we came in. No eye contact, such a soft voice we couldn’t hear here. When we walked it, it felt like we were invading her space. So many better/cheaper donuts around. For real high quality donuts, go to Linda’s instead.

The service at this place touched my heart. I was here on a Friday at 11:00 am and saw the person working here chatting with the delivery service guys and offering them doughnuts while waiting. Also super nice to the customers. We need that kindness these days.

When I come Arsenal Yard, I take my coffee from this store. This time, I ordered 1 medium latte and 1 large americano. She put the register 2 lattes. When I told her, she was rude and refused to refund it. She said there was no big difference and not matter. Communication and expression are very important. She needs training about 2 criteria. I’ll never come back this loc.

This is my first time at this Blackbird location and I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the space is. The location in my neighborhood doesn’t have any seating, so I found the seating here to be a nice way to enjoy my doughnut fresh. I also ordered one of the seasonally matcha lattes, which had a good amount of sweetness while still maintaining the matcha flavor.

I have noticed this donut shop after visiting arsenal yards and my wife told me that we should try it. This morning I was in the area and stopped for some donuts. I got a half dozen and a coffee for $25, so my expectations were high as far as donuts go. After trying their donuts I can honestly say just go to Dunkin. Their proofed fluffy donuts were very chewy and tasted like grease. I think this might have something to do with the weather but again Dunkin’s donuts have never tasted like this. Their cake donuts were okay, but I really prefer the poofy donuts so over I was kind of let down. In short I will not be buying donuts from Blackbird again.

Points for efficient service, however the donuts I got taste like they were baked a day or two ago 🙁 donuts should not be chewy.. i went in the morning and expected them to be fresh. Also their breakfast sandwich is just processed egg, worse than Dunkin. I’d recommend the Blackbird location in the South End instead, which is the only reason I even came here. This was not worth the price!

I got a box for friends who graciously chopped them all up so we could try a bit of each. The passion fruit one is DIVINE! I don’t normally like doughnuts. I got them because my friend does. But the passion fruit filling was like a custard, and it felt like some fancy flan! Delicious! Strangely, the Boston cream was my least favorite. The filling wasn’t pudding-enough for me. Too liquidy and the taste was off, but I found myself enjoying the oatmeal one and the coconut and the mint chocoalte and the cake ones too!
Pricy. Very pricy, but even the five year-old said “mommy, these are better than the place we normally get them from” (referring to Dunkin. And he could t have been more right! Night and day!
Oh! And I got a rooibos, soymilk latte, and the tea was fantastic!
