We got their fall drinks and were surprised at how little apple cider flavor they had, so ordered a little extra. Turns out they’re either using apple juice or the lightest cider ever. We ended up not being able to finish either drink.
Apple cider old fashioned: ⭐⭐⭐ not bad, just way, way too sweet. Couldn’t taste anything but the simple syrup
Apple cider margarita: ⭐ No apple flavor at all, just simple syrup and orange liqueur
Chips and dip: ⭐⭐⭐ Chips were good. The dip was good too, but nothing crazy. Just a generic cream cheese / sour cream with a touch of onion
Mustache chicken: ⭐⭐⭐ This one was interesting. First, the flavor is a 5. Really good. Weirdly enough, I had virtually no chicken (check the pics). It’s not like they forgot it, they had 2 pieces in there, each the size of a cashew.
It’s very watery and oily too, so be aware that you’re going to have a bowl of oil in the dish after
The service is nice enough but the actual food doesn’t have anything especially good or bad. They will ask you what temp you want the burger for it to come out medium-well. There’s some fun ideas like the Anju burger but its ultimately not far from a Culver’s burger which is arguably better. The Cubano is will fill you up with a healthy serving of pulled pork but no discernible marinade – other than salt.
The only definite negative was the soup – the tomato basil soup tasted like it was straight out of a jar of Prego.
For the price, “ok” but there’s something left to be desired.
For the price, there are so many better options. We liked coming here once in a while but we all agreed it wasn’t worth coming beck in the future.
I ordered a Chicken Ceasar Salad and my mother ordered the Short Rib appetizer as her meal. The chicken on the salad was ok, it was moist and cooked well but no flavor at all. The lettuce was fresh. The dressing again sort of bland. My mom liked the sauce on the ribs but said they were very hard to eat. A lot of bone and gristle (?) on the ribs, not a lot of meat. The iced tea was delicious.
I’ll give it another try, just won’t order a salad.
