$12 for a barbacoa bowl with avocado. Good size bowl, Good food tasted hot and fresh, no customers at 1:30pm, no decor in the first room but the second room with the bar was cool (possibly under construction?) friendly staff. Vegetarian options

It was a Hungarian restaurant called Balaton from 1995 till 2022. I hope the new owner can run his business at least as long and as successfully as the Hungarian team did it. Since I’m in Hungary and don’t able to visit this area regularly, I was not able to visit this restaurant as a Mexican yet but I give you a 5-star in advance. I hope I can go there pretty soon and I also hope you don’t mind if I enclose a photo of the former Hungarian restaurant from 2016, taken by me. Balaton moved to Bainbridge in 2022.

I had a wonderful experience with a group of girlfriends yesterday! The food was wonderful and fresh! The staff is so welcoming and friendly! Having gluten free options is a huge bonus so that really means a lot to me. I will definitely be returning!!!

We’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening of Coyoacan and stopped in a few days after the “soft opening.” Well… it is still very much still only softly opened, as less than half of the menu items were available (alas, no beer until July), and orders were placed via a Chipotle-style line rather than actual table service. That said, the food was pretty good – certainly better than Chipotle, though maybe half a notch below Cilantro Taqueria. With the exception of the chips (mid), everything else was fresh and well-seasoned and spicy. Yes, gringos be advised that *all* of their salsas are hot – the “mildest” salsa had a noticeably strong bite, while the spicy salsa was intense (smoky and delicious, but intense)! The restaurant environment and decor meanwhile were super charming, and all of the staff were friendly, if also still learning their roles. Overall it’s difficult to give a rating since the restaurant is clearly not fully operational, but it was good enough that I’d definitely return in a couple months to see how things are progressing.

Very good fast-casual Mexican food. The ingredients all taste fresh and are full of flavor. This place is very similar to Chipotle but unlike chipotle, the meat is tender and well seasoned. Everything is full of flavor.

I got a Tinga bowl and it was very good. I highly recommend the spicy salsa (don’t remember the name but it had 1 pepper next to it!).

Give this small business a try!!

What I received was an insult to Mexican food. The vegan chorizo had a weird flavor and texture, I think it was just a strange pureed tofu. Cilantro has much better vegan chorizo, especially by texture. There was nothing spicy or otherwise flavorful in my tacos with spicy salsa. Esquite was mostly mayo and corn, again no flavor or spice despite being ordered spicy. The servings were pretty large and my food was ready when I got there to pick it up

So I tried this place for the first time and they were delicious. I got a chicken tinga bowl. Wonderful chicken tinga and the chicken was not dry which I appreciated. Everything is so flavorful. Staff was courteous. Probably would choose them over both Cilantro and Chipotle even when I still like both. I have to tell my family and friends!

Super good carnitas, super good chicken al pastor, seriously legit good Mexican food. They also had all the good Mexican sodas, and tamarind agua fresca which is one of my favorite things.

I noted. Somebody dressed like a head chef going over inventory behind the bar and wanted to pass on my compliments, and it turns out it was the owner! He’s out there working in the kitchen, sweeping the floors, and wiping tables. He’s a super nice guy, and had a big smile for my very outgoing 1-year-old son.

Five stars, would recommend to anyone.

So I live near by, and i rarely go here..but the food is ok. The problem is the service. So tonight I decided for the 2nd time this week to get a bowl and i regretted it shortly after paying. I asked if they get their tips and the cashier..Randall, replied yes, and said i must’ve known previous employees. Anyway he was complaining about being there on his day off and I just stated hey my job is hiring, the benefits are good and the money is decent. He then proceeded to give me much attitude, said that was very condescending of me began being rude afterwards. I actually tell everyone about what’s hiring and what companies are good to work for. But the whole point is every time I order from there the employees have a crappy attitude or they’re ride or snobby. I live next door and I will never return. Ill go to cilantro from here on out.

Got there at 7:30pm on a Thursday and they were closing up and refused to serve my husband! Their hours showed they were open until 9pm. Was so excited to try a New Mexican restaurant and we had our mouth set on that food. So disappointing!
