Great local restaurant! Very authentic. This place stands out from others in our area. The menu is very diverse and offers items not found else where. The salsa was fresh & the choriqueso was delicious. Fresh fresh fresh everything! Will be back when in the area. The atmosphere is fun & festive. The service was prompt.

The Blue Agave Chicken was delicious. Stopped in here out of desparation. Left wanting to come back every week. The owner was very nice and helped with the selection. He picked just right for me. Chicken and shrimp with mushrooms. (I changed from Rice to Beans.) Overall a very nice meal in an out of the way place in Alabama.

Blue agave is somewhere we visit very regularly. After today’s visit, I’ll go ahead and share that I’ve had two negative pickup experiences where the guacamole we ordered had slimy old cilantro in it and looked very old. But today’s experience is the icing on the cake:

Strawberry Daiquiri, Margherita, and food was great except for the taco salad was very bland. It had lettuce, chicken and 4 pieces of tomato. Add some cheese or corn salsa to it. Look up different ideas for ingredients. Add a few black beans for protein. The taste was good just needed more ingredients. My friends had great dishes. Chips and Salsa were phenomenal. You can ask for hotter sauce and it is extremely hot. Would definitely recommend this establishment.

Whenever I visit my hometown I usually skip on Mexican food here because it’s not good at all, but I’m so glad my little brother showed me this place because it’s now my go to when I’m in town and want some Mexican food. I decided to try Blue Agave for the first time tonight. The people are very friendly and are happy to see you. The service was the best. The food came to the table quickly and with a big smile. The food was amazing, very good, and large portions, price was reasonable. Overall I would advise you to come here and enjoy yourself, I did. I give them a 10 out of 10.
