A small authentic place, the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Never reall croweded, its honestly a hidden gem. If you live near it or even have to drive a few mins it’ll be worth it. Only critique are the business hours. More often then not when we crave it, it turns out to be closed. So we take advantage anytime we are near and see that its open.

Everything was so good! The plantains remind me of how my Mom used to make them… and there was so much food we took leftovers home. Will definitely be back for another Cuban sandwich!

My wife and I have many favorite Latin American restaurants, but this one absolutely blew us away. The breaded steak was the actual best I’ve ever had. It was so tender that we only needed a fork to eat it. The breading was also flavorful and crunchy. The rest of the plate was great as well. A large variety of food and we will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town

I used to like this place but this time was a sticker shock. I got the beef stew with black beans and rice and it rings up over $16 plus a tip (which I didn’t need to because no one served me) so $20 total. I had to ask for Cuban bread which should have been offered (at that price) The portion was less than most Cuban restaurants. Food was good but nothing outstanding. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. I’m used to a reasonable price and large portions at this type of restaurant. Maybe it’s just me

Oye pero que RICO! This place is a little hidden gem. Reminds me of La Teresita before they started adding buildings. I grew up with the best Cuban Mami y Papi & we would go out to eat there. I’m instantly reminded of my family @ Plato Latino!

John is always working hard but welcomes you from behind the counter with a smile and amazing food options. Buffet style meat and sides as well as many made to order entrees. And amazing Cuban sandwiches.
They also serve great breakfast until 11:00 with The Best coffee in Tampa!

If you are looking for authentic Cuban food, this is the right place. They are conveniently open at 6:30am. The food is delicious, and the staff is extremely friendly and willing to assist you and educate you on the variety of food options. Thank you! We enjoyed our breakfast.

I used to love coming here to eat breakfast, but my last 4 visits to eat with my kids my food has not been made correctly and the ladies attending the front counter and making the food were rude. I asked for extra item and I don’t get it but still get charged for it. The quality of there service has gotten very poor. I think that it’s a shame that if you order something and you’re willing to pay for it you should get it exactly how you want it so that you can enjoy it. Don’t think I will be visiting here anymore.
