Came here on a Thursday night to celebrate Valentine’s Day and it was PACKED. When a restaurant is full from wall to wall that’s always a good sign that the food and service is amazing. We walked in with no reservations but we were willing to wait. We didn’t expect to get seated right away but we did! The two hostessesses were so kind and accommodating, the gal with the cool accent and the other gal named Sophie. Since it was our first time here, we had no clue what to get and our server Jessica really went above and beyond recommending the best stuff for our palate. For starters we go the prosciutto and burrata served with focaccia bread and for the main course we ordered the gnocchi and ravioli with sausage. Everything here is made from scratch so it’s definitely worth every single penny. We also got the affogato for dessert which it the spot perfectly. Take your man here girlies! Also special mention to the crew here they are super lovely, sweet and awesome. I had a lovely time here because of them they made the experience even better shout out to Sophie, Jessica and Max. Can’t wait for my next visit.

Food was fantastic. Everything was fresh and as delicious as you’d hope for the exorbitant prices (and they were painfully high—even for food this delicious).
Constructive criticism is on the beer. It’s all bottled or canned but you’re paying for tap prices. Non-starter.
Glad we went, but not sure if we’ll head back. A person can only have so much Italian food before wanting something different. There are cheaper options that are still delicious, so being a repeat customer isn’t likely for us.
If you like Italian, you’ll love your food. It’s just that good.

Macaluso’s is my go to for a delicious dinner in Tacoma. I’ve celebrating a number of occasions here and it’s always at the top of my list for recommendations when someone needs a good eating experience. Go for the brunch and enjoy Rose’s (the executive chef) amazing selection of traditional and non-traditional brunch options. They even gave us a special dessert that the chef was testing out which was divine (shortbread apple pie with vanilla bean ice cream and burbling Carmel on top). Jessica and Rachelle gave us a world class service experience as well making every part of our brunch truly amazing. Do yourself a favor and go get brunch there, then come back for dinner later that evening.

Me and my guy friend came in tonight to celebrate our birthday month (proud Scorpios lol ♏) and low and behold our waitress was celebrating her birthday that day too as she also is a Scorpio!!! Her name is Jessica and i hugged her with a warm birthday hug as a she returned a warm hug aswell ! (You can just tell a genuine hug when you feel one) ❤️ I know a happy employee when i see one , Jessica was such a amazing waitress !! Very knowledgeable on the menu amd drinks , so friendly and attentive!! Engaging and sincere!!! Always checked on our table in a timely manner that felt natural and unrushed!!! I ordered this delightful sangria drink she recommended in the most detailed way (that i love ) and it was sooooo delicious!!! So delicious i asked Jessica of she could have the bartender Megan to please right down the recipe so i can make some for my homegirls back home ! Megan took time out of her busy shift to write down the recipe for such a delicious cocktail she made me with LOVE !!! DRANK THE LOVE RIGHT TO THE BOTTOM EMPTY !! BRAVO !!! Now for Max the tall handsome guy, boy did he catch my eye from the jump not sure what his position is i think manager!!! He was so polite and professional from the moment i walked in to the time i left !!! I love that he is so down to earth , open for laighter and naturally engaging with the customers !!! Dont laugh but i can totally see myself dating him hahahahah !!! Outstanding customer service with all staff amd tge beautiful blomde host that was very polite and professional and much of a fashionista , her outfit was very nice !!! Im very brutally honest when it comes to how food tastes and i dont let up with the TRUTH ! FOOD WAS DEEEEELISIOUS !! Even my guy date friend said his food was soooo good ! We did not get a chance to have dessert, but we will definitely be back for the dessert!!! I was told from beautiful Jessica that you guys have brunch on the weekends so i got super excited so im definitely looking forward to trying the brunch soon !! Tje host was nice enough to put me close to the door as i was on crutches , consideration goes a long way for me so thank you very very much !!!! Music and atmosphere was perfect, inviting and peaceful !!! Thank you for all of the wonderful experience with my first time coming !!! Me and my friend truly enjoyed ourselves and the wonderful, flavorful gourmet meals !! I will definitely be a returning customer and one who refers this place to others !!! Found this place by accident but this place is very close to our hearts. My husband and I eloped next door at the Ruston Chapel 5 years ago, and went and had dinner there to celebrate. The staff found out and let the the guests know, so the whole restaurant was so kind to celebrate with us our union. We still come for their delicious food and atmosphere! Their calamari and pizza are the best! We love the deserts as well. And their staff is always warm and welcoming. While they are reservation only, it is worth the wait! You guys need your Michelin Stars as well! Love this place

I went for my 49th birthday. The food was fantastic. Our server Rachel, was amazing. I love this place, its smaller for better attention from staff. Its nice and cozy and dim. My type of place!!!! Parking is bad. But everything else was great. This restaurant is full of life, laughter and conversation, yet still an intimate setting. We ordered sangria and lavendar lemondrop for our drinks. Caprese salad and the meatballs for appetizers. And for the mains mussel and spicy sausage penne and chicken alfredo. Mussels without sand, omg!! Touch of cinnamon in the sangria. It’s good for a party of two on a date night or a party of ten for a birthday. If you don’t mind spending for quality this is your place. I will most definitely be back!!!

I WISH I COULD GIVE MORE STARS!!✨ This is one of my favorite places! First, the food (omg) have quite literally never tasted a bad thing leave that kitchen. Please, please, please, get the focaccia WTH is in that? Tastes like magic (trust). Meatballs , Brussels , Cesar Salad , Pollo Marsala like for real…. Now vegetarians do not worry they have you super covered. My boyfriend always gets the Eggplant Parm I’ve tried it and I would go vegetarian and only eat that forever that would cost me so much money tho . Ok staff, are you kidding me so fun and nice and accommodating. When we slack and forget to make a reservation (90%) of the time we just pop in the bar and take an empty table. It does not always pan out, but truly it usually does . Megan is such a gem she sees my boyfriend and always knows that guy wants the eggplant so she checks to make sure the kitchen has it . Thanks Megan . It’s such a cute cozy space for dinner or whatever the heck you want get some apps get some drinks just vibe. Ok but not kidding get the focaccia (like seriously).

First time visiting earlier tonight, and my wife and I are still talking about what a great experience it was, some 3 hours later.
They sat us in the back, by the wine display, a location that my wife had just been appreciating. It was cozy, warm seating with plenty to keep the wandering eye occupied.
Our server was incredible, guiding us comfortably from his first approach. I feel bad I forgot his name, but he’s got a bun and mustache! Anyway, he recommended off-the-menu wine when we were on the fence about the selection, he informed us that the house-made mozzarella more than constituted ordering the caprese (100% correct, try it with their bread! Caprese is hard to mess up but they made it their own with a basil sauce, I wanna say?), and he described the specials and what made them special in such a way that I didn’t even look at the menu for my entree.
I got the boar ragu, and my wife the big seafood linguine, it was as delicious as it was filling and enormous! The scallops were not only top-quality, but they were seared to perfection, with a crisp crust sandwiching the melt-in-your-mouth middle. My boar was rich and savory, with a cutting tomato sauce and just the proper amount of sage. Regrettably I could only each a fraction of the king’s portion presented to me, but they boxed it up for me and I’m looking forward to digging back in once I’m a little less full
Lastly, before getting the check, we were approached by who I assume was the manager, making sure everything was satisfactory (mind you, he and two other individuals had approached with the same sentiment throughout our visit; we felt very attended to and prioritized) and he nonchalantly handed off the dessert menu with no pressure or expectations. We were sure we had no more room, but when he mentioned the chef’s choice cobbler, we were sold! Took it home with us and snuck a couple bites before tucking it in the fridge, a remarkable end to a remarkable date night!
This is our new go-to. Chef definitely knows what he’s doing and is being given great tools, ingredients, and people to get the job done. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We did not have a reservation so we dined in the bar. A small intimate setting with a few tables. Bartender was friendly but seemed a little overwhelmed and in need of an extra set of hands. The mushroom ravioli special was delightful and I highly recommend the burrata set. For a last minute dinner decision not a bad choice for a good meal.
