My daughter and I visited El Mexicano on Friday evening. We were promptly seated and server took our order for drinks and then brought us chips and salsa along with a queso sauce we ordered. The soft drink cups were very large and they kept them filled for us. The chips and salsa along with the queso was delicious . I ordered the Birria burrito and a Chili Pablano. Both of these were delicious and spot on. My daughter ordered the Ceviche de Camaron which is a chilled shrimp dish and she really enjoyed it. I recommend trying out this place if you are in the vicinity. The service is excellent and the food was delicious.

SOOOOO GOOD. Amazing Mexican place. The roqueta burrito was delicious and I’m not even a big fan of pork. Waiter was super nice and courteous even though he had a full resturant to wait on by himself. Amazing lunch deals. Absolutely delish!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST SALSA IN CLARKSVILLE! My wife and I have been intentionally trying every Mexican restaurant in this area and the salsa alone here is the best! The AL pastor tacos were the most authentic tacos I’ve ever tasted in Indiana. Great eats!!!!

Had a wonderful experience with the staff and the food was fantastic!!! Had the ponchos chicken with rice and beans and pack of tortillas. The cream cheese sauce and mushrooms were so flavorful and I ate myself to being miserable as I started with quest and guacamole with bacon! The gauc was so good with a healthy blend of cilantro, lime, garlic and avocado blended with no ingredient over powering another… the quest was white and a lighter cheese which paired perfectly with the chips. The meal was amazing and my wife enjoyed her taco salad. The coke was super fizzy from carbonation which made me happy and the tea was sweet like a louisiana sweet tea. 10/10!!!!!

Clean pleasant inviting place for lunch or dinner. Good quality Mexican style chicken tacos. Diced meat, seasoned and seered. Good flavor & texture. Complimentary chips and salsa on the table. Variety of three different homemade sauces available & FREE. They have horchata beverage too. Staff friendly & courteous. Their rice & FLAN (dessert) are excellent. Plates seem expensive though. I opt for tacos & a side of rice. Tables available to eat there with consistent lunch crowd. Update: new owner, new menu. Went for lunch. Not that many customers. Got egg plate on lunch menu. Ranchero red sauce was good. Plate was good for lunch. Four star. Free chips and salsa and variety of sauces. Went for dinner. Meats tasted weird. Couldn’t eat. Chicken smelled like dog food. I couldn’t chew The Barbacoa. The Place is clean. Gave it a one star. Sorry. Horchata and flan not as good as before.
update: May 2023, salsa odd taste, chips unappealing and hard, sunny side eggs came out hard fried eggs, rice and beans edible but other competitors like Puerto Vallarta way way better. Skip this place.
