After months of diligent research and taco tastings, I can confidently say that I’ve discovered the holy grail of tacos in the RTP area: Los Borrachos. A food truck tucked away in a humble corner, but don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you. This is, hands down, the best taco truck I’ve ever visited.
The menu is expansive, offering a variety of options that showcase a true commitment to authenticity. You can feel the care and passion that went into curating this menu from a mile away. And the staff? Absolutely fantastic. They were friendly, patient, and eager to guide me through the best selections to make my taco experience complete. Their recommendations were spot on, helping me craft the ideal taco lineup.
I went for the trifecta: Chicken (Pollo), steak (Asada), and beef head (Cabesa). While all of them were delicious in their own right, the Cabesa was the true star. It was tender, juicy, and seasoned just perfectly; each bite was an explosion of flavor. The contrast between the crisp, soft tortilla and the rich, savory filling made it a taco experience like no other.
The chicken was well seasoned and flavorful, and the steak had that perfect grilled flavor. But it was the Cabesa that truly stole the show, with its deep, succulent flavor that danced on my taste buds.
