This was me celebrating my birthday. I had never been and since I am not from here. It was a solo celebration out in Chandler. I absolutely loved the whole experience. I got the Benihana Trio with Waygu beef and added scallops. I had the Mango Colada as my drink. I had so much fun because I was seated with a family from out of town whose son was in a baseball tournament out here. They were delightful and we oohed and ahhed at almost each course. It’s a total of six courses and the chef prepares everything right in front of you. I didn’t eat for 2 days to prepare for this meal, lol. The beef just melted in your mouth. My videos were too long to add but from the soup all the way to the dessert was phenomenal. I was solo and my bill was almost $100 but the experience was well worth it. If you are taking out a whole family, I would advise that it be a special occasion or something because it is pricey if you get what I ordered. The ambience was wonderful and I thoroughly recommend if you can. They have others entrees as well but I was celebrating and splurging that whole weekend. Have a great experience!!!

Had 4:30 reservations and wasn’t seated until about 6. It was so busy, but we were informed that they were running an hour behind on reservations and we agreed to wait. While walking to our seat, we saw the waitress we had assigned to us “crashing out and cursing” because she was being double seated. She ended up coming to our table to introduce herself and made if clear that they had given her two tables at once and she’d try her best to manage both tables. She actually ended up being decent. She hid her stress well and didn’t give us a shitty experience. She managed our table well. Our chef Damian was a cool dude that cooked really well. Our food was 10/10. We enjoyed his conversation and show. Our kids cleaned their plates. We almost didn’t go because of some of the bad review, but I’m glad we decided to keep our reservation. The prices are expensive, so I don’t think I’d go back for a $250 dinner for a family of 4 with two young children. We didn’t even order cocktails.

Justin is the literal best server ever he is super cool and funny he is one of the best I have ever seen. He should get employee of the month for the performance he provided. I have never experienced in all my time I have been here an experience like this. He made some of the best food was nice kind and a very good chef. He was very nice to us and was friendly energetic and one of the best chefs here at Benihana ever. Would come here again for this kind of service. If wanting to come here ask for chef Justin if he is busy still wait the experience with him is the best.

Chef Justin was AMAZING! From the moment he started cooking, he brought the perfect mix of talent, humor, and energy to our table. The food was cooked to perfection (seriously, best Benihana meal we’ve had), and his interaction with everyone made the entire experience unforgettable. He kept us laughing, entertained, and well-fed the whole time. You can tell he truly loves what he does. If you’re dining at Benihana, ask for Chef Justin he turns dinner into a full-on show.

This Japanese restaurant offers delicious hibachi and teppanyaki dishes, including steak, shrimp, and fried rice. They also highlight the entertaining and engaging chefs, and the fun, lively atmosphere. Anthony the manager is by far the best part of Benihana’s. I’m the assistant manager of Dobson Towne Center Apartments and Anthony catered my resident event, and let’s just say not one unhappy resident!! The food was amazing!! Can’t thank you enough Anthony

The food tasted good and it was entertaining having it prepared at the table; hadn’t been here for a couple of years. However, there were extra charges we didn’t anticipate, and going on a birthday didn’t exactly have anything special aside from the coupon in an email, which made it the same cost as anOther location I’ll keep going back to instead. We sat at a table with 2 other parties, it was fun, but we must’ve sat upwards of 20 minutes before we even received our drinks, and a group that was seated at least 10 minutes after us, had a chef at their table starting to cook dinner before we even received our drinks. And for the cost, I thought portion sizes could’ve been more impressive. Once home, one of us did not have a happy tummy– not sure if it was from the restaurant or elsewhere.

We did something different this Thanksgiving and chose to eat at Benihana, and it was such a great decision! The food was incredibly delicious, from start to finish. Yes, it’s on the pricey side, but the quality and quantity of the food make it completely worth it. The experience, atmosphere, and service all came together for a fun and memorable holiday meal. We’ll definitely be doing this again!

I would like to share my recent experience at this location, as it was extremely disappointing.
To begin, the service was well below expectations. Our bill included items that were never ordered, and there was a noticeable lack of transparency regarding upselling efforts. Several staff members displayed unprofessional attitudes throughout the evening. At one point, after requesting sauce multiple times without response, a member of our party had to go directly to the bar to obtain it. This level of inattentiveness significantly detracted from the experience.
Additionally, the food quality was unsatisfactory. Several items were overcooked and lacked proper seasoning. At the bar, a single shot was ordered; however, a double was served and charged automatically. We were later informed that doubles are charged by default, but this was not communicated at the time of ordering, which felt misleading.
There were also persistent gnats around our table, making it difficult to enjoy the meal, created an uncomfortable dining environment and raised concerns about cleanliness.
Our team typically visits this location annually during our onsite meetings, and we have had positive experiences with this chain in the past. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet the standards we have come to expect. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location and would urge management to address these service and quality concerns promptly.

The table service here is absolutely fantastic—definitely 5 stars. Not the front desk, she is dreaming.
The atmosphere is only appealing if you’re seated at the teppanyaki table. Unfortunately, the rest of the restaurant is quite dark and lacks the same energy or ambiance.
Their non-alcoholic drink menu is impressive, with plenty of options that are both refreshing and creative.
Now for the food… I ordered my steak medium-well, but it came out well-done. Everything was overly salty—as if it had been soaked in brine. Even after they replaced the steak, it was still way too salty and hard to eat. Honestly, I’d rather have fried rice from Panda Express than what they served here.
It’s baffling that a Japanese restaurant could serve such disappointing teppanyaki, especially when that should be their specialty. I’ve had better teppan steak at a Cantonese restaurant in Chandler. Food is the foundation of any restaurant, and unfortunately, this place just doesn’t deliver where it matters most.
