Very nice family restaurant. The server was very polite and made us feel relaxed and comfortable even though we got there about 30 minutes before closing. The food was good as well.

Hamburger steak covered in mushrooms, onions, and gravy was very tasty. Two sides of mashed potatoes with gravy, and cold slaw with roll. The cold slaw is exceptional.
They have garden burger for non-meat eaters and it’s was very good.
The pies are always great, the really good ones go fast.

It’s an off the road older restaurant, but don’t let that fool you. I was impressed. Would highly recommend here before Seneca Rocks trek or on the way to Blackwater Falls… I’m gluten intolerant and had no issues.

Stop in for some of the homemade pie! We stopped traveling back to Ohio and we’re had the hamburger steak and mashed potatoes. We also ordered the hidden gem, cornbread! They make the best homemade cornbread I have EVER eaten anywhere.

We traveled to see Seneca Rocks and had not planned on where our next meal would be. What a great surprise to happen upon Gateway Restaurant! The burger was delicious, as was the daily special of ham steak. Highly recommend.

The main meal was very good as always. But the waitress was helpful but not friendly. When we ask for dessert the pie was not homemade..I got lemon meringue with no meringue and my husband got red velvet cake which was dry and a sliver. Each dessert was $4.40 which was to much for what was served.
