We’re not local, but stopped in for morning coffee on our drive back home from KC. We own a coffee shop and we’re admittedly super picky about our drinks — but the Rusty Wagon gets a 10/10, five stars, the whole shebang! Their menu had a lot of great options, from more classic choices to some really cool, more boutique style recipes. I got a peanut butter cup and my husband got a raspberry chai latte — both were delicious & reasonably priced. The space was clean & cute with plenty of seating if we had wanted to stay and hang out while we had our drinks. The baristas behind the counter were friendly & offered up drink suggestions when we were waffling between things. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this place. While the coffee is great, it’s the staff that makes Rusty Wagon what it is. I first met Shelby, who is a little bundle of sunshine herself. Who might I add, has already had a run-in with a feral Karen (a rare young one) but handled it with the grace of a seasoned barista. On the second visit, my wife and I met Rylee and Brittani. With the 3 of them here, this place is peerless in regards to service, friendliness and damn good coffee.

This is our second visit to The Rusty Wagon. We enjoy the atmosphere of this little coffee shop in Basehor KS. The holiday decor is so fun. It’s homey and a cozy hang out. The drinks are great quality too!

I really liked the coffee and the shop is cute my only small critique would just be to turn the music down a smidge during non cocktail hours since typically a coffee shop where be somewhere where people may want to talk or read but it was very cute otherwise.

Employees need to be more friendly. We went on a Sunday, and the barista was cleaning her counter & didn’t even say hello. The other barista was texted long on her phone. Coffee is coffee. So the employees are supposed to make it a welcoming experience & make you want to return. Go to Third Space in Bonner Springs 7 minutes down the road.

Typically we have a great experience here with all of the other baristas that work here because I’m somewhat of a regular, but today I had a new face her name was Shelby she took our order just fine we ordered a pb&j latte and a matcha latte with peach lavender and oat milk and when the drinks came out the coffee was great but the matcha was made incorrectly ( it had coffee and matcha in it) so we said it didn’t look right at all and that when we typically come here that’s not what my drinks look like, and she said that is what you ordered to which I said unfortunately no I wanted just matcha and she said “okay well for this 1 time we will remake it but that we had worded it wrong and that she would not remake it again for us” to which I responded with I have worded it the same every time I’ve come and gotten matcha from here and all of the other baristas understood me before. I just don’t appreciate how she tried to blame us for her mistake and how we had to go back and forth to get the correct drink that was ordered….

I love the idea of having a locally owned coffee shop in town. But to be honest— Lynmark is closer to me and they are so nice to me. I feel like the employees here are rushing you to order and then ask if that’s all….ive never looked at the whole menu. I love the idea of environment that was envisioned. Also can’t get out of here without spending at least $15/person. Their macaroons were nearly $4/piece.

I was at the daylight donuts about to go in when I saw a review for this coffee shop. The reviews were so good I had to try it. I left and drove here and I am so glad I did. The coffee is literally the best coffee I have ever had. They have options for food and kids items as well.

They are so hospitable and great personalities. They know their menu, so helpful when you might not know what you want to order. Great place to sit and work for a bit too. It’s become a favorite of everyone I recommend. Such a cute place!

I’m obsessed with this place! The décor is adorable, the energy is so positive, and everyone working there is unbelievably sweet. It’s the kind of cozy neighborhood spot that just makes you feel good. 10/10 recommend!
