I go here all the time and never have a problem unless the larger lady is working. Every single time she serves me she is rude and has an attitude. I want to continue supporting this business but having employees that are constantly rude to customers makes it really hard. Most days I’d rather drive the extra two minutes down the road to peak level instead of being treated poorly by her.

Today as I was driving to my mom’s like I do several days out of the week, I decided to stop and try Sugar Shack Espresso’s americano. This little coffee stand has been here for a very long time, so they must be doing something right!
First, I asked about the nonfat green tea frappuccino. To my dismay, that is something Sugar Shack doesn’t offer.
Incoming americano! Lately, I have had some pretty pleasant americanos, including the amazing one from Energy Island Smoothies. So how does Sugar Shack americano stand up to the only one I swear by so far?
Price-wise, East Side Java won out with an 8oz at $1.50, compared to Sugar Shacks 8oz at $2.00; what about taste-wise??
I enjoyed my americano from Sugar Shack; it had some taste similarities to Energy Island Smoothie and All-Star Espresso. There was a slight hint of creamy background taste to the coffee (no actual cream), not super strong, and no burnt taste, no acidic taste, which is a bonus. However, it wasn’t relatively as smooth or creamy tasting as Energy Island Smoothie; it didn’t have the background or hint of caramel.
Although the barista was friendly enough and warned me of the coffee’s temperature, I was a little disappointed that she didn’t offer me a coffee sleeve. Still, it wasn’t enough to deter me away from stopping again if the situation is right.

Sugar Shack shares the same parking lot with Shell Gas Station, within walking distances to the 19th hole Bar and Grill and Hanks Grocery Store.
I’m sure Sugar Shack is probably a little out of the way for many people wanting a coffee, but if you’re ever in that neighborhood, you should stop by, the americano is well worth it!

Went about a month ago to try it out since it was close to home. It took the barista a bit to come to the window, she then opened it, and gave a long sigh like she didn’t want to be there. Coffee was okay and I decided to give another try thinking it was an off day. Went again and waited at the window for a couple minutes and no one showed up. I ended up just leaving since I had to be at work. I would not recommend this place.

Used to go here now and then on way home from work. One day it was 456. I’m assuming closing was 5. The main lady that is there 24 /7 looked and me and gave a huge grunt.. Gave me that face that said darn you for giving me business right before closing . Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Would not recommend .

I like getting my cappuccino here (most of the time). Sadly, some days the barista doesn’t seem to be as familiar with what a cappuccino should be as other days.

I was in line at 2:40pm on 4/22/25. I sat in line for quite awhile while the car in front chatted with the Barista. They receved and paid for thier coffee. Did not start thier car and continued chatting. The Barista and driver both saw me waiting. The driver began pulling up photos on thier phone to show the Barista. I left. I am a great tipper. I could not believe the rudeness. I will no longer frequent this business. Such rude treatment of a customer.

Love stopping at Sugar Shack for my morning pick me up.
They have great coffee drinks as well as many other choices. There is a fun seasonal drink menu with some super tasty and fun drinks.
Their food items are always fresh.

The lady there was horrible. She had a rude attitude. I will never stop here EVER again.
As I said hello she was already answering me as if I had done something wrong. She was very rude and I said hope you have a better day and she responded I am already thanks very much. It almost felt like she was about to grab something and through it at my face. I was actually not having a good day, and decided to treat myself, made it out of the house and then she made me feel so horrible.Horrible service! Won’t support.

After my review I was contacted personally by said employee. They apologized and were in fact having a bad day. Everyone has a bad day every now and then and I understand that.
I have it 3 stars bc their drinks are good but there is one girl that works there that is always in a bad mood. It seems like you are always bothering her. I asked her today if she was having a bad day and she snapped at me. So I suggest she get some retraining. People expect to come up to the window and see a smiling face and not some girl who’s bothered by your presence. Not sure if I’ll go back unless I can figure out when she doe

I love this coffee stand, been going to it recently. Their coffee is very good and for the most part, haven’t had many issues. Now i do go there everyday (a way to get myself to go on more walks) but an issue has seemed to arise. I only have an issue with one of the baristas. It seems every single time i come by during her shift, she is very unpleasant and always seems very upset. For this reason i’ve tried limiting when i come by during her shifts.
