It’s cold and so I got chicken stew. Even better: I finally found a place that serves one that reminds me of the stew my former coworkers would make for themselves and share with me. I thought it was a little pricey… Until I ate through the top and realized there are 3 large pieces of on-the-bone chicken in there, not shreds. So much chicken! It came with beans, rice, and corn tortillas. The tortillas are made there, and don’t fall apart. I usually don’t like rice, but theirs is light and fluffy and is not greasy. The pinto beans are mashed, not blended, and super delicious. They also have pupusas, which I am excited to try next.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! This is a lovely hole in the wall that has incredible, truly authentic, from scratch Mexican food, and at very reasonable prices! I am in love with both their chicken and pork tamales, which are the size I expect from a tamale (two is enough for a nice meal!) and their al pastor taco was also lovely!
This is a no frills place, so if you want a fancy atmosphere, you’ll want to go elsewhere, but I enjoy their home-y decor and they really deliver on the food!
We plan to visit again soon! I’m so glad you’re here! My food was so good, I meant to take a photo and forgot until after I finished

We finally tried El Taco Naco and wow — it was amazing! If you love authentic Mexican food, you’ll want to check this place out. It’s been family owned and operated for over 15 years, and you can really taste the difference. Just note that it’s not Tex-Mex, so go in expecting the real thing! Diana was our server and she was so kind!

Had a great lunch, and I will definitely be coming back. Portions are huge. Service is friendly and fast. Came with a coworker. She requested a to go box.

The saltiest salsa I’ve ever had. $22 for chips and salsa/ asada taco/ chicken burrito for lunch. I really wanted this little hole in the wall too be good. I love supporting local restaurants, but the quality just wasn’t there. The chicken burrito was pretty good, but the steak taco had quite a bit of cartilage in it. I’ll stick with bell st burrito or los hermanos.

Establishment small. Service nice. Limited but free parking available. Food was so so. Queso was awesome. Burritos are large. Chips tasted stale. Guacamole had excessive amount of cilantro. Beans and rice in the burrito didn’t taste super fresh. The verde sauce was extremely mild. The black sauce was spicy but there wasn’t enough. Wouldn’t recommend based on food quality alone.

I’ve been here a few times because it’s highly reviewed by locals.
The food was good both times sans the salsa that comes with chips and salsa. (El Taco naco if you’re reading this, upgrade your salsa!!)
Consider this a taco dive as far as the atmosphere.
June 2025 update: food here is just delicious.

Had the chips/salsa and chicken fajitas. Very delicious. I want to not like the salsa for being liquid with no texture, but the flavor was amazing! Chips were hot, thick, and crispy! Everything was very, very good. Definitely drizzle the lime, and the flavors were off the charts! Definitely recommend!

I love that she brings out 3 different pouring containers of various salsas/sauces. One is very spicy but I love it. Chorizo quesadilla was awesome. Nice little Mexican place near my house. Will be going back to try other things. Update: veggie quesadilla is awesome and birria tacos are awesome too!
