Uchiko is an absolute standout. The food is exceptional, thoughtfully executed, and full of flavor without feeling overdone. From entries to desserts, every plate feels intentional and beautifully balanced.
The sushi menu is especially impressive, with a wide, high-quality selection of fish that clearly reflects freshness and care. If you are a sushi lover, you will be very happy here.
What truly elevated the experience was Chef Andres, who came to our table to explain the plates himself. His passion and attention to details made us feel genuinely taken care of and added a personal touch that made the night memorable. You can feel how grounded and intentional he is in the way he speaks about the food.
Chef Andres brings heart, knowledge, and genuine hospitality to Uchiko’s experience.
Incredible food, warm service, and an overall dining experience that delivers on every level. Can’t wait to return!
Note: Do not leave without trying the Beef Cheek. It is a can’t-miss dish and easily one of the highlights of the meal!

Such a great experience in a beautiful restaurant. I sat at the bar top with Sophie and Mica as my bartenders. Both of them were so attentive and helped me along the way. They gave fantastic recommendations and I enjoyed everything I ate and drank. I highly recommend this place!!!!

For months, I have been watching intently as crews built out the Uchiko space. One of my favorite buildings in Cherry Creek, the Ginny Williams Gallery was opened in the 1980s by the Ginny focusing on modern and contemporary photography. For the past few years, it sat empty, and I often paused at the window seeing stacks of art and photo books and not much else. So when it was announced that Uchi was building a location here, I was anxious to see how they leveraged the space. They added significant space, including a kitchen and additional dining rooms but thankfully paid homage to the midcentury landmark designed by master Richard Crowther. The space is woodsy, open, warm, and inviting. The tables and bar wood accents draw you in. The kitchen is designed around a hearth fire, the majority of the menu plays off the theme of fire and smoke. Our server was attentive and walked us through the entire menu of which we sampled much in a special week leading up to the official opening. Of the many dishes we sampled, my favorite was the Amberhack, the hearth mushrooms and the dessert s’more blew my mind.

We were disappointed with our experience at Uchiko. The host staff appeared unprofessional, we weren’t asked about allergies or dietary restrictions, and our seating area was uncomfortably cold.
We ordered the omakase for two but were not told what dishes were included. Several courses contained meat, and my wife does not eat meat. Had we known, we would have ordered differently. The omakase also cost more than ordering the same items individually.
The pacing was inconsistent—some dishes came out too quickly, while dessert took 20–30 minutes to arrive. One course was simply fries with a steak topped with chimichurri, which felt out of place and not very Japanese-inspired.
While the flavors were good overall, nothing stood out as “wow” or memorable. Combined with the issues above, the experience felt more geared toward a narrow, trendy crowd rather than inclusive or authentic.
We’ve had much better experiences at their Uchi location, which made this visit even more disappointing.

One of the most peculiar dining experiences I have had in Denver. Thought I would be in for an hour for happy hour but ended up being here for 2.5 hours because of the excruciatingly slow service. Was sat at the sushi bar and yet it took over 10 minutes to receive some basic soy sauce and ginger. The order of items coming out made no sense despite putting most of them in at the same time. We inadvertently ended our meal with the gyutoro dumplings because they took 1.5 hours to actually arrive. A very underwhelming dining experience overall, would much rather go to UChi instead considering that their menus are not that distinct except for the hearth items.

An exceptional, elevated dining experience from the moment you arrive. The staff is polished, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable, creating a level of service that feels both effortless and refined. The cuisine is beautifully executed with a diverse menu — not only outstanding seafood, but also thoughtfully curated options that make it equally enjoyable for non-seafood lovers. The cocktail and wine selections complement the experience perfectly, while the atmosphere strikes a balance between sophistication and warmth. Truly a standout destination I look forward to returning to.

Incredible birthday. Met Jack, the chef de cuisine, who went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of and show us all the restaurant had to offer. Our server was attentive and personable during a busy shift, right after opening. I will gladly return and recommend to anyone that’s celebrating a special occasion

Great atmosphere and a really enjoyable meal. The sides and crispy tuna were standouts.
One note for management: our server described the somakase as a “budget-friendly alternative” to the omakase. At a higher-end restaurant, that phrasing felt awkward and unnecessary.

This is more feedback than a bad review. Overall we enjoyed our meal, but it also seems like they might still be working out the kinks of a newly opened restaurant. We are big fans of Uchi, so there is a certain standard that Uchiko is expected to live up to. We felt like a lot of dishes/drinks were a bit overly sweet (coming from a girl with a big sweet tooth); the kenja old fashioned (our server confirmed it was batched so it couldn’t be adjusted), brussel sprouts & soft shell crab roll. We also felt like the sushi rice for the nigiri was over-seasoned and also leaned pretty sweet making it hard to appreciate the flavor of the fish. The vibe and service was great; a little slow in the beginning but seemed like they picked up as they realized our eating speed lol. We will definitely be back at some point once they’ve had more time to settle in. Beautiful space with a great date night vibe.

Cannot recommend Uchiko more! I am a big fan of Uchi in RiNo, so going into this experience I had high expectations. Blown out of the water! From the staff, to the atmosphere, great music & of course the food. The banana sundae… lights out. Leila is so good at her job & made sure that my dietary restrictions were considered. She made me feel so comfortable and contributed to the overall stellar experience.
