Interesting place. My food was OK, but nothing special. I was hoping for the WOW factor my coworkers were talking about but unfortunately I was not blown away. I visited the restaurant during my business trip from Florida. The five of us waited quite a while for the food. Bathroom was not very clean despite the fact it was Early in the day.

No ones on the same page in the restaurant. It takes 10+ mins to be seated as there’s NO hostess. A number of broken things, like the credit card machine, booth seat (I almost pulled a muscle at the first place were seated at), and toilet. The 40 min wait for a cold flat Waffle and 4 chicken wings is ridiculous. The staff is walking around on their cell phones instead of tending to patrons. Our waitress is cussing at people b/c they are tired of waiting on their check & the request for it to be split (which she claims they don’t do). The place needs an overhaul to include a name change for the sub-par service, staff grooming/training, and interior renovation.

We got there when they opened at 11 with no line, and still had to wait 45min to get in because they were waiting on the truck to deliver chicken. I don’t understand why they didn’t let us sit inside and wait instead of making us stand outside in the cold. The food was very disappointing, and over priced. We had the chicken and waffles. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the service was amazing. In short, just go to the waffle House two blocks away. Also, don’t forget the free parking in back.

We waited to be seated only to find out they were only serving ONE item on the menu. They could have told parties that while they were waiting, so they could have made the decision to dine somewhere else. There was also a sign at the door noting cash only.

Great atmosphere and music and awesome food! Their drinks are enormous, the plates are delicious and the sweet potato pie for dessert was to die for! Can’t say enough good things. A little bit expensive, but it’s worth it.

Great place to eat. A staple in the community. Living legend but a better person.

The food was okay. After waiting nearly an hour and a half I expected to be wowed!! I ordered the midnight train, chicken and waffles. The jumbo chicken wings could have used a little seasoning. The waffle was good but, cooled off quickly. It would have been nice to have warm syrup. I must give credit to the wait staff. They were all great!! All friendly and courteous! All in all not a bad experience just not good enough to say that I must go back.

The waitress was nice but the food was terrible. My friend and I both ordered smothered chicken. We got our food unusually fast. The rice was hard, the chicken was tough and the gravy was lumpy. Which leads me to believe the food was microwaved. It was very disappointing because no one wants to pay for leftovers. I wanted to speak to the manager to clarify that the food was cook to order not reheat to order. When she came to the table she gave a very nonchalant apology about how she was “sorry for the inconvenience” and gave 10% off the bill. Which I did not ask for because the situation was more irritating than it was inconvenient. So i will never eat here again or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Which sucks because the entire restaurant could do so much better.

I’ve been going back and forth to Atlanta for some years and one of my staples to eat at before I leave the city is Gladys Knight Chicken and Waffles. You can be almost assured that your wait will be 45 minutes to an hour. However for good service and food, I don’t mind!! But I must say that this last visit to this place was less than mediocre at best!! I always get the Uncle Ron’s. With three fried wings, Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. The mac and cheese which always is very good, was very dry and tasteless!! The wings were so oily, you could see the oil puddle on the plate!! Honestly, the only thing I enjoyed was the sweet potatoes. Also, this place is known for its flavorful homemade lemonade. What I got was some minute maid fountain garbage… And all of this after waiting for over an hour in 90 degree plus weather!! I was not happy. I will have to give this place a rest for a minute. Hopefully this was just a fluke.. But as it stands right now, I won’t be going back for a while!!!

Wow!!! Food was awesome!!! Everything we got was great. Chicken wings and waffles were wonderful. Waffles were sweet and melted in your mouth. Chicken wing meat fell off the bone and the skin was fried perfectly. The mac and cheese was phenomenal…even the kids thought so and they r picky about m & c. Had fried green tomato’s and collard green spring rolls for apps…really good. Sweet tea was great too. I ate nothing that was not top notch. Having said that…we went on Father’s day for dinner. Only waited 35 min. service could have been better but I could tell that the waitress was tired after working all day on the holiday. She was good and very nice but slow and didn’t check up on us as you would expect but again they were over booked all day I am sure. I thought price was fine for what you got and the quality of the taste. I would go back in a heart beat!!! The surrounding neighborhood was sketchy I wouldn’t go with kids after dark but a must if you want to eat well in Hotlanta!!!
