We popped in for an early dinner. They were out of quite a few menu items. We settled on the half-a-chicken which was dry and had very little meat on it. The coleslaw was also very dry. The BBQ sauces on the tables also looked like they haven’t seen a decent clean in weeks and the hot sauce on our table didn’t even have a cap. Very disappointing. The venue was cute and well decorated. Pity about the service and food. Will not be recommending this spot.

This was the first time we ate here. From the time we walked in and got to the counter to order they were really helpful with our order. The brisket and pulled pork with the sissy sauce was so good! The sweet corn and potatoes salad was delicious. On e you order you make your way to the condiments bar for the onions, pickles and peppers. Really was some good food and service. Definitely will be back!

In for work and decides to stop by and try it out. First time I we ordered the pull pork, brisket, potatoes salad, and cream corn. Absolutely great food. The second time in we did brisket and ribs with the same sides and the ribs fell off the bone. We have eaten here 3 or 4 times in a week and it has not disappointed. The sweet tea is good to and so are the fixings. Definitely been a good spot for us.

This was our second trip to this particular Rudy’s and we loved it!

The prices were great! Half å chicken for $8.49? How good is that? We got two half chickens, small green chili stew ($3.39), pint of cream corn ($7.19) and a half pound of baby back ribs ($12.58). Throw in the free bread and a great condiment bar and you have a wonderful meal for under $50.

The chicken was barbequed and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Some BBQ sauce added to the meal. The corn is always a highlight. Not too sweet, but creamy and flavorful. The chili had some heat and was a great little appetizer.

While visiting Santa Fe, we decided to get some BBQ at Rudy’s and we thought it was very good. We recommend everything we ordered (as shown in the pictures):

– Moist brisket ($14 per 1/2 lb)
– Baby back ribs ($9.50 per 1/2 lb)
– Jalapeno sausage ($7.50 / link)
– Creamed corn ($3)
– Green chile stew ($3)
– Mini pecan pie ($4.30, not pictured)

You make your way in and give your order. Then, you can go to the bar and get some pickles and veggies and tear off some butcher paper for your table. The atmosphere is much like any other ‘cue place, long picnic tables with checkered tablecloths and folding chairs: simple but comfortable. The service was friendly enough.

As for the food, it was great – no complaints. In fact, after my family of four devoured our first serving, we went for another order of brisket. My daughter, who is normally ambivalent to corn, loved their creamed corn.

When you’re in Santa Fe, give Rudy’s a shot for some good Texas BBQ!

I like the decor of the store. The signs and license plates took me back in time. The two flat screen TV’S brought me back. The food was very good. But no beef ribs. So I got the Brisket, very tender, half chicken, banana pudding and some sides. The employee’s were 5 ⭐. Great outside dinning space. And the prices were great.

Tried a little bit of everything. Brisket was the best I’ve ever had. Turkey was great. Chopped good. Potato with pulled pork was good. Cobbler and banana pudding excellent. Good prices, but expensive since we ordered everything.

We both got the brisket. It was very moist and delicious. Corn on the cob was less than great, but wasn’t bad. Potato salad was great. Overall, great bbq!

My wife, a friend and I went to Rudy’s based on a hotel staff’s recommendation. This was our first time at Rudy’s and we were very pleased with the visit. The staff is friendly and took the time to let us sample some the meats so we could pick what we liked. They have a good selection of meats, barbecue sauces, sides, beer and sodas. The portions were generous at a reasonable price and the food was very good. The restaurant is large with family style seating and lots of sports channels on the tv’s. Overall we had good food in a nice environment at reasonable prices. If there were Rudy’s where we are from we would go back again.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve never been to a Rudy’s restaurant. I really enjoyed it. The meats have a great smoked flavor and the BBQ sauces are just right. You can taste anything you like to help decide what to order. Tons of parking all around the standalone restaurant. They were out of pulled pork. Brisket was good. The turkey was amazing. The potato salad was pretty good. All of the cold sides are enough for two people. Recommend.
