I did not eat here. I came in to shop for spices! The most amazing spices! A little conversation and trying out the different spices!

Undoubtedly, they’re known for their spices, but if you’re looking for authentic Indian food—even average—this is not the place. We ordered samosas, and honestly, if someone paid me to eat them, I wouldn’t. The potato filling was heavily marinated in turmeric, almost as if it were meat. Yes, turmeric is a staple in our South Asian cuisine, but no one prepares samosa filling this way. I took one bite and couldn’t take another. Even 30–40 minutes later, I was still suffering from the overwhelming, senseless amount of turmeric. Purely disappointing and absolutely not edible.

First you told to write down all the spices we want a little labels and they would fill them in the bags.
Then she told us to fill our own bags and we will be charged by the scoop and she showed us with the amount on the scoop look like.

So we filled our bags per her instructions because I guess she didn’t feel like doing it…
As I was checking out, she told me all the measurements were wrong…

I believe it would be easier if they just had a scale andweighed it. or had more of a measuring cup that you could top off?
Or better yet, they could have done all the scoops for us as they first told us they would.

It was very sketch for them to decide how much is in the bag at the time check out.

In the plus side, We were please with the variety of spices. They told it was proprietary and they make other spices in house.
I just hope they taste as good as they smell after spending $150 dollars and spices.

The tikka masala was incredibly dry and rice was flavorless. The spice selection was amazing, but the chicken we had was pretty poor. The salads were great, the pastries were great, but not the chicken.

Still one of the best places to grab lunch in the City market and most of their lunch items are still 7.99.

The variety is amazing, and everything they have is delicious.

They also have about a million spices for literally any anything you can think of. The prices are very reasonable as well.

I forgot how much I enjoyed this place, so I’ll probably be coming here alot more again now that I work closer here.

Good food, freshly prepared. Seared meats, protein-filled pastries and kabobs a’plenty. I’d definitely recommend this takeout-only eatery and spice shop, but not during the weekend rush, when it took us 40 minutes to get our food.

SO dang good. New to KC and have been looking for a solid Indian/Middle-Eastern food option that was unique and offered something special. Definitely found it here. Everything is made from scratch, fresh and delicious. Already been here twice in a week because it was so good. This location is also a spice shop, where I found some excellent curry for cooking at home.

Seems to be a family owned operation which I always like to support as well. Five stars!

The spice selection is FANTASTIC! But they are not cheap. The chicken tikka is just fantastic, rice a little spicy, the salad very refreshing.

Update: Tuesday pm: it was the busiest we’ve seen it on a weekday! The Tikka wrap was as solid as every, we skipped the rice and doubled the salad with it’s minty dressing.
