The whole idea of the Fat Spoon Cafe’ concept is to do things a little differently than many others in the café business. Our food and atmosphere is unique, but familiar to Southern Louisiana. We pride ourselves on using homemade ingredients like corned beef and roast pork which form the basis of our signature spins on the Reuben and Cuban sandwiches as well as a Cochon de Lait po-boy.

First time here but we’ll certainly be back. Service was very good. I had the avocado toast that was delicious! The balsamic glaze was great. The whole wheat bread was wonderful. Both my husband and I thought that the grits were very good. He had the chicken fried steak and enjoyed it. Not overcooked.

This place is a nicer looking Fat Spoon. The atmosphere is less utilitarian than others. My hot sausage poboy was nicely done and flavorful and fries appeared to be battered and very crispy. My wife’s eggs Benedict on a biscuit was tasty but over cooked. On this day, service was so so.

Our server Lindsay was beyond friendly. Our food was extremely delicious. This was my 1st time dining here, and I’ll be back. I highly recommend the Greek omelet. Also, Lindsay recommended the grilled biscuit, and I’m glad she did.

Our server Joie waited on us quickly and got our drinks to us in no time. The mimosas were generously poured and ice cold.
I ordered over-easy eggs and crispy bacon – they were both perfectly done, and also on the table very fast. My husband loved his big homemade biscuit.
My only complaints were that the restaurant’s floors felt a bit sticky under our feet and our table hadn’t been completely wiped off. But Joie
took care of that as soon as she came.
Overall, a delicious breakfast and great service! With two $5 mimosas, our 2 full breakfasts totaled about $35.

Not a beignet fan, but the beignets here are pencil-like and amazing.
Tried the BBQ Bacon burger and the burger was seasoned with something that took away from the BBQ Bacon burger itself. Kinda disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it if you are expecting a traditional tasting burger.
