Had dinner at Alpine Lodge Restaurant in Pecos, TX a few different nights, and every meal was fantastic! We tried the chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, and the blackened chicken Tuesday night special—everything was absolutely delicious each time. The service was friendly and efficient, making it easy to get our food to go for a quick walk back to the Best Western Plus Swiss Chalet Hotel & Suites. Super convenient and perfect after a long day. Whether you’re in town for work or just passing through, this is a great spot for a tasty meal with excellent service. Highly recommend!

You get a free breakfast here when you get a room. It was not good. The food tasted old. We ate at 7am but I think the food was made at 5 when the restaurant opened. When the waffle mix didn’t taste good and made dry waffles that fell apart. I couldn’t finish anything.

We (Kenny & Tracy) recommend this restaurant highly and have attended regularly when they are open.
*Totally wish they were open for lunch on Friday & Saturday. But they need some time off sometime.
We just came back to the area, and we are totally enjoying coming here again. Still good as ever!
Even received a welcome back hug from one of the waitresses that remembered us. It was so nice to have the welcome back! Thanks again!

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The atmosphere was great and really made me feel at ease. The beds were super comfortable and I had a great night’s sleep. The room was also very clean and well-maintained. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Was seated quickly, the staff who seated me grabbed my tea immediately.
Had a bit of a wait for my server, David, to take my order but from that point forward he took excellent care.
Drink stayed full, he was attentive but not intrusive – honestly the best part of the experience.
Took just over 25 minutes for my meal to come out, chicken fried steak, stuffed potato and, steamed broccoli.
The CFS was a fair size for the price, although a bit tasteless and covered in white gravy. While the potato was steaming hot, the cfs barely registered as tepid.
The broccoli was warm, and almost raw.
The potato should have been a standout with cheese, bacon, onions, sour creme and butter – all the elements of something wonderful. I just didn’t come together.
Overall the great service offset otherwise mediocre food.
Understandably, this is pecos and fine dining options are borderline criminal in their absence. I’m here for a week and may opt to give them another chance.

Food had absolutely no taste. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. Chicken was a little under cooked. The Mac and cheese I’ve tasted better out of a box of Kraft. Fries were cut too thin to have any flavor left. Was the worst 20 bucks I’ve ever spent. Even went back and spoke to manager. All she could say was sorry.

After reading other reviews, we decided to try the AlpIne Lodge for our one night in Pecos, TX. So glad we did. We had, perhaps, the best server we have encountered on our trip across the state. Her name is Des and she was outstanding. Always smiling, she made sure we had a pleasant and enjoyable meal. My husband tried the chicken Cordon Bleu at her suggestion and was very pleased. The chicken was cooked just right, he said. My chopped steak was also cooked just right. Everyone we encountered in our visit was pleasant and courteous, but especially Des. Be sure to tip her well if she is your server. She works hard to make her customers have a positive experience.
