This place used to be really good a year ago, but I am not sure what has happened lately, but their food quality and service has deteriorated since

We have tried a lot of things from their menu, we love their dry Manchurian fried rice, Dahi puri, chur chur naan, onion chili uttapam and honest tawa pulao.

Since a very long time, we have been trying to order schezwan ghotala from their menu, but they never have it which is weird. This place can be a hit or miss in terms of the items you can get sometimes and also their service, it’s not standardized which is sad since it is a chain restaurant.

My husband used to enjoy their shakes, bahubali sandwich
and falooda, as well. On our recent visit, they offered us complimentary jalebi fafda on the occasion of dusshera, but the Jalebi tasted of oil, and had hair in jt.

The wait staff is not very attentive, they will forget to bring water, they will never come and check on you if everything was alright or if you need anything. The place hasn’t been cleaned for a long time which is evident due to their sticky floors.

I hope they take the feedback and make some improvements. I really used to like coming to this place, but since the last 3 visits it feels like they are not interested in their business at all.

This was our first time to a vegetarian restaurant here and glad we did. Great variety on menu. Food is very flavorful, nicely served and the spice level is just perfect which is hard to find at other Indian restaurants. Staff is nice and service is great. We loved all the items that we ordered except for the rasgulla which was chewy and tasted like the canned ones.

Did I say best pure veg India restaurant in USA! Yes you heard it right. So far the best Indian food I had in USA. They have amazing menu with variety of dishes. They have all the food from North to south India. Amazing. Can’t wait to visit again. Try to go early in evening for dinner else you will have to wait for long time as the place is seems like pretty famous and favorite of many.

The best vegetarian and South Indian restaurant in massachusetts. Today was our first visit. We are certain will be visiting very often. We ordered paani puri, dahi puri, choley bhature(was not in the menu, we asked for it), and mysore masala dosa. Every dish was delicious and so fresh. The paani puri shells were all so fresh. Service was very good. Nice family ambience. Had an awesome time!

Honest Indian Restaurant in Norwood had intrigued me for some time, especially given its confident name. Excitedly, we decided to try a variety of dishes, spanning from classic street food to hearty mains. Our order included vada pav, chowmein, paneer handi, and veg pulao.

Firstly, I must commend the restaurant on its prompt service. Our dishes arrived in good time, which is always a positive sign of efficiency and good kitchen management. The staff were courteous, ensuring our dining experience was as smooth as possible.

However, as we began our culinary journey, we quickly realized that our excitement might have been slightly premature. None of the dishes truly encapsulated the rich and diverse flavors one associates with Indian cuisine. The vada pav lacked the spicy punch; the chowmein, though not traditionally Indian, missed that Indo-Chinese fusion zest; the paneer handi was rather bland, missing the signature creamy richness; and the veg pulao seemed hastily put together without the harmonious blend of spices.

Our hope was to satiate our craving for authentic Indian flavors, but we found ourselves merely tasting the dishes without the enthusiasm to finish them. It’s unfortunate when the name of a place promises honesty and authenticity, but the flavor profile doesn’t align with those expectations.

In conclusion, while Honest Indian Restaurant offers commendable service, there’s considerable room for improvement in the culinary department. I hope they take feedback in stride and work towards delivering a more authentic taste experience in the future.

An exquisite dining experience. The ambience- interior design, decor is all around very pleasant. The food & drinks are delicious and beautifully presented and the service impeccable! Every single dish we tried was amazing, very flavorful and perfectly balanced. Easy the best Indian restaurant in Boston ! I would definitely recommend for a special occasion, for a romantic event or a big group.

Good Indian restaurant with a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. Samosa chaat, pav bhaji, and rose falooda were our favorites. The bahubali sandwich was average and so were the chinese dishes. Overall, great experience!

It was our first time trying this restaurant, I brought my daughters and their friends for a total of five people. I found it difficult to navigate the menu, I wish there was a brief summary of dish ingredients next to menu items and a heat index. I explained to the server we had a wheat allergy and blindly picked a few suggested items, including fried rice twice spicier than our comfort level. My daughter ordered a lemonade and was served something resembling salty pond water with lime juice. Although we ordered a variety of food, it all seemed overly salty and over spiced. Our mouths were burning, and staff never returned to check on our table once food was delivered – we decided to pack up most of the untouched food and buy a drink somewhere else. I was surprised when told they charged the full 20% tip up front, but at this point, I was thirsty and just wanted to leave. I’ve eaten Indian food from other restaurants, so I know it can be tasty, but the flavors here missed the mark, and the service was not worth the 20% they precharged.

Have been here multiple times and never disappointed. Chaat is their specialty while south indian is not equally great.

Masala papad is a wonderful pre-appetizer while you wait for your actual appetizers. The sweet sauce they served with Pani puri was super tasty. Veg fried rice with Manchurian was served in a small bowl but the quantity was still filling.

Will definitely go again for chaat cravings.

The worst food I’ve ever had in my life. I went inside with positive expectations, but it turned out to be the worst ever. I ordered dosa, pav bhaji, and pani puri, and they were so cold straight from the fridge. I don’t want to visit this place again.
