We visited the Texas Roadhouse in Cromwell with our family and overall had a very good experience. The service was fast, the staff was attentive, and the food met the great standard we always expect from Texas Roadhouse.
We ordered the onion appetizer to start, and for the main course we had steak with salad, vegetables, and fries — more than enough food. Everything was delicious, especially the bread rolls, which I absolutely love.
As a mom of three little ones (three under three ), going out to eat is always a challenge. They do provide paper and crayons at the table, which is very helpful while waiting for the food, and that was definitely a plus.
The only downside is the tabletop tablets. Even though it’s a small amount, having to pay for kids to play can feel a bit unfriendly for families with young children. Something simple and free to help keep kids occupied during the wait would make a big difference.
I also want to highlight that the women’s restroom was impeccably clean, which I truly appreciate. The only small detail is that there were no toilet seat covers available.
In the end, I gave my toddler my iPhone while trying not to lose my mind with my twins — the real-life experience of dining out with babies — but despite that, we still had a great experience and would definitely come back.

Food was good, the service was amazing! Ryan was our host and a manager in training and Ed was our server and they both were amazing. My mom and I came for dinner and told Ryan we had to be out quickly for a concert. They made sure the food and the service was fast and we appreciated that so much! Definitely recommend!

Between their charismatic, bright attitudes and their excellence in delivering swift action from order to table, you’ll never go wrong with either of them. Truly always a wonderful experience to eat here and be greeted by them. They seriously deserve raises, this is our favorite spot to go!

What a golden experience at this location !!! Everything from the seating the service the chef . I give them all the stars well deserved. Michael was our waiter and he exceeded
our expectations. Kara the restaurant manager was just as phenomenal came over to our table to make sure we were all set . With our 1 yr toddler this is the experience we needed . Thank you guys for making our night more special we will be returning to this location and make this our go to rather than Manchester . Keep up the good work !!!

Rose our server was Amazing! We came from NJ and had a long ride. At first I was a bit hesitant because the floor was a bit dirty. We order the peach drink and it was amazing! Light and fruity! The combo appy was ok. The jalopenao popper was a bit spicy for my liking. The wings were okay. They’re more like chicken tenders. They def were tender though! The mozzy sticks I enjoyed. The tomato sauce tasted like preggos but I love preggos! The chili was delicious! The steak was amazing. My husband enjoyed his fish n chips. We have a lot of left overs and was surprised by the portions! Rose was amazing and she gave us extra bread to go. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I had an early Valentines dinner tonight and it turned out to be an even better experience than we expected. We had Alissa H as our waitress and she provided us with great service from start to finish. She was on top of getting our refills, assuring we had everything we needed and brought boxes without us even having to ask. It was a normal busy Friday night yet she was attentive and happy to get whatever we needed. And our dinners were delicious to boot! Honestly the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time! I’m really glad we decided to spend a special occasion at this location!

Overall great experience. My party of 3 only waited a few minutes, despite how busy the restaurant was. Food was plentiful, served up quickly, and delicious. I had the bone-in ribeye with a salad and loaded baked potato. It was an excellent cut of meat and cooked exactly as I specified (med. rare).
Just be aware, they are not afraid to cook with salt here. You can taste it. I love salt, but some may not.
