My family left the restaurant feeling happy and satisfied. I think it was a good value for the price paid. I enjoyed the refried beans a lot. I think the chips would be a lot better with more salt added. Cilantro garnish for flavor and color would be a welcome addition to the plates. The carved and painted chairs and tables provided an element of Mexican atmosphere to an otherwise plain strip mall shopping center. They were unique and different. I think adding some string lights to the ceiling would really add that extra element. The server was kind and attentive.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at El Ranchero Mexican Grill in Mandeville, right on Highway 59. The food was outstanding—authentic, bold flavors, and beautifully presented. And we have to give a huge shout-out to our server, Scarlett—she was phenomenal, so attentive and friendly. We’d absolutely recommend this place—just be sure to ask for Scarlett!

We’ve eaten here 4 times in the past year for birthday parties and it’s consistently an affordable and pleasant place to eat. Tons of choices on the menu. They can accommodate large gatherings. The staff is friendly and I like the colorful decor.

You walk in to a bad smell. Smells like wet mop or stagnant water. Food was eh. The menu is extensive but it consists of all the same ingredients. Chips tasted old. Salsa was canned. My “guisado” was nothing but some sort of pan-fried meat with just a chipotle canned sauce on top. Was not good. The rice and beans were decent. It’s slightly better than fast food. Don’t expect much.

Smelled like a Porta John when I walked into the door, food was extremely bland and definitely caters more to the type of people who think mayonnaise is too spicy and think a ground beef flour tortilla taco with all the fixings is Mexican food. Also charged extra for Salsa Verde, which I thought was weird, no other mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to hasn’t had complementary green or red sauce. The salsa verde also tasted like it was safe to give to a newborn. Would not go again

This was a disappointing experience. The taco meat in my taco was just not up to par. It was extremely greasy and not really flavored. The rice was pretty dry and there were bits of chicken in my partners food that should have been trimmed and were inedible.
The staff were all polite and friendly. The salsa was great and so were the refried beans, but I would not go back because of the quality.

This is 2nd time we ordered lunch special and was over charged . Now I have to wait 3 days for a refund . Was told this happens all the time with pricing. Maybe the staff need to pay attention when charging customers instead of pissing them off after card charged twice .
