I came here with my family to celebrate my sister’s graduation, apparently I had been to the Beijing one as a kid, but it was a completely different experience. This one opened up in NYC around 6 months ago, the original being in Vancouver and Michelin Star.
We ordered a shrimp appetizer, wagyu beef dumplings, and the Beijing Zhajiangmian to complement the duck. They ask to order the duck in advance, and we did exactly that, but we still had around a 40-55 minute wait time before it could be served to us. I did not try the shrimp, but it looked OK, more like something you would get at a chinese fast food or takeout joint. The dumplings were pretty good, for me the taste of beef especially wagyu is very strong. By the time they had brought out the handpulled noodles, the texture was not right and it had gotten a bit hard.

Now onto the main star- the duck. Every bite of the duck was amazing, they served the skin first, and then the meat, accompanied by very thin crepes to wrap it in and the cucumber and onion. 5 star duck, 3-4 star everything else.

The desserts were spectacular too, and a great way to end the night. We got the red bean mochi roll and the snowskin mochi cake. DELICIOUS!

Our server, William, was amazing and offered us to take the duck bones home if we liked, the staff and service here was absolutely incredible.

In the photos, the one in Vancouver is super huge and pretty, but the one here just does not compare and is quite small in comparison, it has more of an old school vibe, like a social club for older people.

I’m in NYC from out of town for a few days. I made a reservation for the tasting menu for $198 and it did not disappoint. Two people could easily share this option and be completely satisfied. The Duck was the star of the show. The crispy skin dipped fat side down in some granulated brown sugar melted in your mouth! The lobster was equally amazing as you get a full lobster that tastes fabulous! The pan seared Croaker was the surprise of the dinner! The mushrooms and red wine reduction paired perfectly with the fish and eggplant! Apps were also amazing! Eric is an amazing server who guides you along your food journey with tons of tips and information! This is a must if you enjoy fine very traditional Asian dining of any sort!!

If you want true 5-star Chinese fine dining, iDen & Quanjude is the place to go.

Food:
• The soup is outstanding—they carefully select the best parts of each ingredient and slowly simmer everything into a deeply flavorful, comforting soup.
• The appetizers are excellent, offering four different selections, thoughtfully designed to progress from lighter flavors to richer, more intense tastes.
• If you’re looking for Peking Duck, this is absolutely the place. The duck is perfectly roasted, beautifully presented, and carved tableside—an experience as much as a dish.

Service:
• Special thanks to William, who provided exceptional service. He helped us take photos, explained each dish in detail, and carved the duck right in front of us.
• He checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect and refilled our water cups constantly—at least 10 times! Truly attentive and professional service.

Overall:
From food quality to presentation and service, everything here feels refined, thoughtful, and top-tier. This is not just a meal—it’s a full dining experience. Highly recommended for special occasions or anyone who wants to experience Chinese cuisine at its finest.

Lovely Chinese restaurant. Their specialty is Peking Duck and it was super delicious indeed. Our waiter William was excellent and super helpful and courteous. Great decor and atmosphere. All in all a wonderful experience! It reminded me of a Chinese restaurant in Frankfurt, Germany, where I used to go with my late father also for Peking Duck. That place unfortunately no longer exists.

Was in their Vancouver location last year and had a great experience. Peking duck is oven roasted – instead of wood fire – per NYC regulations. But they managed to make it taste great. Eric, our waiter, was very attentive.

We visited iDen & Quanjude Beijing Duck House and it was an absolutely exceptional dining experience.

We would like to thank our waiter Viliem for his outstanding service, professional attitude, and excellent recommendations on what to order and how much. Thanks to him, we truly enjoyed our dinner and felt very well taken care of. The level of service was extremely high.

The food was absolutely amazing the best Chinese cuisine we have ever had.
A special mention goes to the fried rice with beef – a must-try for everyone!

Thank you again, Viliem, for a wonderful experience ✨ . We will definitely come back!

I’ve been to quanjude in Beijing. I’ve now had several Peking ducks in NYC. This is easily the best Peking duck I’ve had in manhattan and it is DELICIOUS.

Best part? All of their food is amazing. We also had the fried rice with foie gras and wagyu. At first I thought it’d be a gimmick because that combo sounds like it’d be greasy. Not at all… the rice was fragrant, full of wok hei, and with a nice crispy element. Cocktails were also truly innovative.

Oh and the service is on par with what you’d expect with a 1-michelin-star restaurant.

It’s not cheap but it’s a ton of food and it seriously delivers. Don’t hesitate, just go. It’s that good.

Peking duck tasted amazing—rich, fragrant, and perfectly roasted. The Xunyu (smoked fish) was the true highlight for me, easily the best dish of the meal. The Stir-Fried Vermicelli with Crab Roe was surprisingly delightful as well—silky noodles coated in creamy roe, a pleasant and unforgettable combination.
The service was attentive and friendly. The only downside was the slightly long wait between dishes, which made the pacing a touch slower than expected. Still, a memorable dining experience overall, and absolutely worth it.

Authentic Peking Duck 全聚德 style perfectly executed and showcased table side. An excellent spot for a slow paced enjoyable meal where the food speaks for itself as the entertainment. Other menu items are delicious as well and the presentation is perfectly Chinese- 真是中国菜. We enjoyed our server’s recommendation of the mango wasabi shrimp. Friendly, hospitable, and professional staff, especially William, make the experience even more enjoyable. I also overheard when making a reservation you can preorder the main event (the duck) although we rather enjoyed the 55 minute wait over delicious cocktails and mocktails. A memorable dinner!

A ‘Michelin Guide’ Restaurant with all the ‘consistent’ negative reviews for service now makes sense. Visited on 12/25/25 with a high expectation of spending quality time with family.

The waiter, was so much in a rush while taking our order… probably had to catch the next flight from the next street, because he left us half-way while we were still placing our order!!
We put in all of our order, all at once at 2:30pm (as seen on the receipt) for Angus beef cubes with asparagus and pecans, (4 star) served at the table by 2:50pm..
Imperial Beijing Hand-Pulled Noodles with Signature Beef Zhajiang Sauce, THIS LITERALLY CAME OUT AT 4:00PM, all because we had to remind and check with our server if they’d be kind enough to bring out our food, OR MAYBE CAN CANCEL IT ALL TOGETHER.

The other waiter tried to console by saying, “grains are brought at the end of the meal in Chinese culture’.. well, we respect that but how about waiting 1hr after finishing the first dish and reminding the server twice in a span of 30 mins each … IS THAT ALSO A PART OF SERVING CULTURE ??

Noticed that the tables nearby were all left dirty, with no one to clean and clear it. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Deserves no stars for service, be ready to waste your time even if you are here for a quick meal. We wasted 2.5 hrs all because of the delay in getting the “grains”

Food and Drinks – 4 star
Service : Negative 100 – ZERO star
