Came here with friends, girlfriend to celebrate a birthday. The fries are crisp and have a nice subtle crunch, extremely delicious. I got the platter and the scallops were cooked well, the shrimp was outstanding, cod was great too. Coleslaw was a nice side to have. I added a piece of perch for $3 bucks and I am glad I got it because it was delicious. I forgot what sauce I got. I also ordered Bing Bing shrimp and it was sweet and spicy, but the heat was not an over bearing need water heat. The star of the show was the crab cakes. Last place I got delicious crab like that was in New York and Hilton Head. Food is homestyle quality. OH, and the raspberry iced tea was the best. I would say more side dishes should be added like a mac & cheese or green beans or both.

Have been here several times. Was satisfied with the food and service. HOWEVER, I have been calling, or attempting to call for over a week. I have tried calling several different days to make a reservation, nobody answers the phone, I left two messages, no return call and now the answer is. MESSEGES FULL. So, I personally will not spend any more of my money there. There are many upscale restaurants in Erie to go to.

Friendly service and welcoming, this place has a nice menu that is above your typical American cuisine.

Not a good night. There were only 3 to 4 tables occupied in the dining room, several in the separate bar area and apparently a larger group downstairs. We never saw a downstairs though. There were at least 4 waitresses, a bartender and a manager. Our waitress was working downstairs, our booth and a table of 4 guys that she knew. (A guy from the kitchen, wearing his apron, kept coming out and sitting with them.). Our waitress was inattentive and several times we had to flag down one of the other waitresses to get drinks, bread, napkins etc. The coconut shrimp appetizer was good and the crab stuffed mushrooms were ok. We both had tenderloin tips, my husband had the dinner and I had the salad. They were both ok, except the salad was mostly lettuce. Once I removed the huge pile of iceberg lettuce and got to good lettuce and veggies, it was better. I’ve never had fries on a salad before but they were tasty. We had to ask for our check and then find someone to actually pay. My husband politely told our waitress about our service and she became belligerent, plopped down the ticket, snatched her tip and walked away. I think we will try other restaurants for the remainder of our stay in Erie.

Enjoyed a delightful dining experience at Syd’s. Their appetizer, Party Shrimp, presented an array of delectable flavors. I selected the Fisherman’s Platter, featuring a variety of seafood, while my companion preferred the Lake Erie Perch with fries. Syd’s offered expertly mixed cocktails and decadent homemade desserts. The laid-back atmosphere contributed to a pleasurable evening.

I am a regular visitor to the beaches at Presque isle. I was looking for something different from the chaos of peach street.
This place was just what I was looking for.
I ordered the beer battered Cod fish and chips. It came with a cup of New England clam chowder. The chowder was spectacular as well as the fish fry.
The service was very fast and accurate.
I will definitely return.

This place is just classic. I ordered a martini with well gin and it was absolutely perfect. This place reminds me of somewhere your grandparents would inherently love because the service still pays attention. Their food is very 1950s classic with a couple of items to spice up the menu, but it’s done just right. You can order liver and onions here still.

I usually have a good experience here but got a steak to go this time. It is embarrassing to see that piece of meat for $35. Sorry just another Erie clip joint. I will never eat here again. You can see my pictures on Google maps reviews. Take a look at what a $35 steak looks like at Syds. Shame on you. Never again.

The Best!!!! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They got us in immediately even though there was a wait list. We were traveling and had no idea how popular the restaurant is. The food was extremely delicious with huge portions. We will definitely be returning there when we visit again.
