Food has great taste and the portions are large!
We enjoy every visit!
The MOST delectable food I’ve had thus far!
Amazing flavors, plentiful servings (bought takeout each time). The kindest owner. I can’t rave enough about the desserts…. honestly I’ve never had dishes so deliciously fantastic. You really must try this restaurant, even the rice is great alone! How I wish I lived closer to dine here weekly. 10 ⭐ ‘s
I’ve been coming to Daffodils for a while now, and every visit is more than just a meal—it’s an experience filled with warmth, generosity, and incredible food. The heart and soul of this place are its owners, a sweet old lady and her husband, who have been here from open to close every single day. The lady does all the cooking herself, and she insists on giving you samples of everything so you know you’ll love what you order. And trust me, you will love it. Everything is gluten-free and bursting with flavor, clearly made with so much love.
But there’s something I need to share, and it’s breaking my heart. This wonderful woman had a stroke just three months ago, and despite everything, she’s already back to work. When I asked her why she didn’t stay home to rest, her answer brought me to tears—she said she didn’t want to be homeless.
This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s the livelihood of two of the most hardworking, kind-hearted people you could ever meet. But they’re struggling, and they need help. They’re too proud or maybe too afraid to ask for it themselves, but I’m asking on their behalf. They’ve given so much to this community, and now it’s our turn to give back.
If you’re reading this, please visit Daffodils, enjoy their amazing food, and spread the word. Let’s rally around these incredible people. They need us now more than ever. And if anyone knows of any local resources or ways to offer more direct support, please reach out. This is more than just a place to eat—it’s a place that represents the best of what community means.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting Daffodils and the amazing people who make it what it is.
Based off the reviews we ventured to this corner of Lincoln and discovered a hidden gem. The head cook was excited to see us and walked us through all the different options available. She was knowledgeable and gracious as we peppered her with question after question.
This is by far the best Mediterranean food I’ve found in the state.
The baklava was the perfect finish to our meal. We even took extra baklava to go, and spinach pie to eat for breakfast the next day.
We will be returning the next time we are in Lincoln.
When you walk in, you’re greeted like family. You’re fed like family. You still have to pay though, you’re not actually family.
The food is astounding, the portions are huge, the dessert is memorizing. Everything is made fresh, and everything is delicious.
Trust the recommendations of the woman behind the counter. She made it; she’ll know what’s good today.
