The chicken tender platter was decent, but not amazing or exceptional. The breading was a tad soft and soggy. The chicken seemed to be breaded, fried, then tossed in a spices mixture which had large pieces of grainy spices in it – most notably salt, with a sweet and savory blend of spices. No honey mustard was provided, as is customary with chicken tenders – instead it was a creamy almost Thousand Island-like sauce. I definitely prefer Chili’s chicken crispers over this.
The mac & cheese was bottom of the barrel – Bland, lacking flavor, slightly bitter and slightly gritty. Just not what you’d expect from a quality chain like Glory Days …
My visit to Glory Days Restaurant in Gainesville, Virginia, was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with incredible warmth, treating us like VIPs as first-time customers. They even surprised us with a complimentary appetizer of warm, perfectly baked pretzels paired with their mouthwatering boneless wings and three signature sauces—Glory Sauce, beer cheese sauce, and another fantastic dip that set the tone for an unforgettable meal.
We kicked things off with the mac n cheese bites and buffalo chicken dip, both of which were bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The star of the show for me was the Glory Burger—topped with a perfectly cooked egg, it was juicy, flavorful, and hands-down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The mild boneless wings were a hit, with just the right amount of kick, and the fried fish was crispy, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried was superb, showcasing the kitchen’s talent and attention to detail.
The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The team at Glory Days clearly takes pride in delivering an exceptional dining experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot is a must-visit for delicious food, great vibes, and top-notch hospitality. We’ll be back soon!
Crab dip pretzel is absolutely delicious, very creamy, very cheesy, lots of crab, generous portion.
The traditional wings are also good, crispy, meaty, had really strong char grill-smoking flavor on it.
Also had the boneless wings, big chuck, very soft, juicy, not dry at all.
The fish fry is also great, you got a huge and thick fillet, taste fresh and juicy. The batter is thin and crispy.
Very nice place in Gainesville, will definitely back in the future.
A great neighborhood spot that has local beers on tap, good food, and low lighting for a relaxed vibe.
