This is THE place for BBQ. My boyfriend and I used to live in the South, so we’re picky and have been trying to find a good spot forever, and this place is absolutely it. The meat has that flavor you can’t fake, excellent sauce, portions are huge and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Come as early as you can because they sell out fast for good reason! We came in from Missouri and expected some basic up north bbq and found a small building that has real Midwest bbq made by a man who understands how flavors mingle. So if you want what I can assure you is the best bbq In Wisconsin. This is it. The owner is a OG who knows exactly what he is doing. The macaroni was so good it didn’t survive more then a minute or two. For sure coming back. If I could give him a 10 I would.

WOW! Five stars across the board if you haven’t been to this place you don’t know what you’re missing.Get here and get here early because they will sell out! This is hand down some of the best if not the best BBQ I have ever eaten.Big Geno himself hooked me up excellent customer service. He chopped the meat right in front me and gave me a taste sample pure perfection. I will be returning for more you can count on that! Arrivederci!

If you’re a fan of BBQ, especially Texas style BBQ, be grateful Big Geno’s is in Racine. He was stationed in Texas for many years (I want to say 10, but don’t quote me on that), hence he’s familiar with the best barbecue.
He’s a fan of Terry Black and this reminds me of Terry Black in Austin. Geno is a Gentleman, a Scholar, and a Scientist when it comes to genuine barbecue. He was generous enough to highlight his smoker setup out back, to which I’m quite impressed.
I could describe the intricacies of how he prepares his brisket, however your time would be better spent getting to Big Geno’s versus reading a verbose description.
We also had the privilege to be served by Big Geno himself. He’s a great guy with great food, and definitely worth a visit.
I had Brisket, Mac and Cheese, and Banana Crème pie. All were delicious, the pie did not survive long enough to be photographed.

We tried Big Gino’s BBQ for the first time and it did not disappoint! The rib tips were absolutely fantastic tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. As first-time customers, we were blown away by the great service too. Gino even threw in some of his amazing coleslaw and a slice of sweet potato pie, which were both delicious and the perfect compliment to the meal.
Great food, generous portions, and genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!!

Today was my first time trying big geno’s and let me freaking tell you this is the best bbq I’ve had in Racine. I got two pulled pork Mac bowls, a half a pound of rib tips, and some apple pie and everything is so delicious. The pulled pork Mac bowl is by far my favorite thing that I got. I love Mac and cheese and theirs is top tier! You can tell it’s going to be good just by the smell of the shack lol
EDIT: OH if you go make sure to get there early! It seems like they sell a lot, I went later in the day and got the last of the pulled pork!

I went in there to get a simple plate of a brisket sandwich for brisket with two sides. The worker said I couldn’t I had to buy half a pound of brisket or a pound of brisket inside separate. I’m from Texas and this place is in Wisconsin so I asked to speak to the manager or owner. The owner came out and I asked if I could have a simple plate of brisket with two sides and he told me how much am I willing to spend. I told him why would you ask me that when I just want a simple plate and he asked me the question again so I told him I don’t want anything and I left he had a bad attitude so if he has a bad attitude I’m sure the food is just as bad as he is. Do not eat here they are rude you can’t get a simple plate. For them to ask you how much you’re willing to spend is really uncalled for. Do not eat here. Bad attitude is bad food. Got Ribs & Tips togo. Everything was super juicy & the ribs were Falling apart (in the best way). It’s been a struggle to find good BBQ after moving to WI but Big Geno’s definitely hits the mark. If i’m ever passing thru Racine again i’m sure to come back.
