BUYER BEWARE this establishment drastically reduces your purchased entree by layering multiple portions of rice under what should be a meat and/or veggie portion. We have been regular customers for at least 15 years and the practices NOW are deceitful and repetitive. Time and time again they are using RICE or noodles to DRASTICALLY minimize the portions of meat or entree by covering the entire plate with rice FIRST and the layering it with a TINY (reduced) meat portion

Restaurant does not offer dine in, you won’t know your meal sucks until it’s too late. The crab rangoons have virtually no crab in them, 1/10, shrimp lo mein was 6/10 at best, they use the small, cheap shrimp. This is the third chance I’ve given this restaurant, I will never return. The food SUCKS, don’t waste $20 like I did!!

So I swung by New China Town Wednesday and decided to give it another try – it’s been years since I last stopped in . As a NYC native, I’m always on the hunt for that authentic Chinese flavor from back home, and let me tell you, it’s been a challenge here in Alabama. But I was in the area and craving some egg foo young, so I thought, why not?

I’m so glad I did! The egg foo young was spot on – I usually ask for the gravy on the side, but I forgot this time and it actually worked out because it was smothered in that savory roast pork goodness . It totally transported me back to that hole-in-the-wall joint in Brooklyn I used to go to as a kid!

My husband’s general tso’s chicken was a hit too – it’s up there with the best I’ve had in Alabama. If you’re looking for legit Chinese food in the area, I’d def give New China Town a shot . Can’t wait to come back!

DO NOT ORDER/DOORDASH FOOD FROM HERE, THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND TAKE YOUR MONEY. I ordered food for my coworkers and myself last night through doordash. I requested sweet and sour sauce with my egg roll. first of all they did not give me the egg roll and second of all and most important, they charged me $17.00 FOR A SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE. I mean come on what a scam of a place… their entrees are like $13.00 how in the world is a sweet and sour sauce $17? will never be ordering from her and will be telling everyone that wants to order Chinese food to not order from here.

Well, reasonable price (cheap) for basically close-to-panda-express Chinese food. I got fried wontons which are empty inside, guess I didn’t understand something but wontons have filling. They come with soup which is commercially available red “chinese” sauce neither hot neither spicy. So you need to dip dry fried flour in that. Moreover, I got Mongolian beef, which had more onions than you can expect, but dish was greasy and soothing with meat being soft. I needed to take out since dining in on Friday night isn’t option, which I don’t understand. I come from Houston, so this place wouldn’t survive over there even giving it for free, hence might be I am spoiled but might be zero competition here as well. Cheap, fast, greasy food in huge portions. Not Chinese tho, enjoy!

I only tried Mongolian vegetarian beef, multiple times. It’s my go-to here. It was a quick fix when during my vegetarian journey. Someone actually recommended to me and I definitely have recommended to others. Parking is in the street, recommend to order ahead.

Ordered the sesame chicken and it was all breading. I tore the pieces in half and the chicken, if I could find it, was as small as a toddler’s fingernail. Very disappointing. Do not recommend anymore.

Spring rolls are great. Everything else is too sugary. Meat is 60% breading. Fried rice does not taste right

Eye mean the amount of food that you receive is abundant.. however eye didn’t get my egg roll. Even though that’s what eye really wanted. Overall taste was ok. The broccoli was definitely great when eye dipped it in the juice .. ordered the orange chicken.
