This place is a gem! We drove from about an hour away to come and try it and thankfully we got there early enough they still had some choices! The only downfall is they only cook so much, so when the BBQ is gone, it’s gone! This is a good issue as it means you are getting fresh BBQ! They have some tables inside for you to sit at, most people I saw got it To-Go. You also can check out their Backyard Tavern which offers BBQ and other normal bar food items (so I am told).
Definitely will be back! I love smoked Turkey and the sides were great too! Good portions!

We stopped by Brickyard BBQ for the second time and wow, everything was reaaaaal good again! As a Latina who loves bold flavors, good seasoning, and all the condiments, I left so happy. The food had that perfect balance of smoky, juicy, and well‑seasoned, nothing bland, nothing dry, just pure sabor in every bite.
It’s the kind of place that gets it right every time, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

Ohhhhh mmmyy word!!!! Don’t walk…RUN!! A must try!! The baked beans were oooohhhh sooo yummy!! The wings left me speechless!! The brisket was a beautiful charcoal flavor with a very nice smoked flavor!!! Like no other I’ve had!! Oh and they are Veteran friendly!! Will be back!!

Had the pleasure of checking out Brickyard BBQ early Saturday afternoon and can say with certainty it is one of the best BBQ joints in all of the Syracuse area (here’s looking at you Dino BBQ).
The ownership had a lot of passion in their craft. I had the Beef Short Rib special with two sides of Mac N’ Cheese (pictured) and a side order of the brisket as well.
The short rib was absolutely phenomenal with a “fall off the bone consistency” and perfect combination of salt and seasoning. It was served with a chimichurri sauce on the side which I honestly didn’t even end up tasting because the meat was so flavorful in itself.
Having been to traditional Texas BBQ like the world famous Franklins and Terry Blacks I can confidently say the food here had the same kind of taste and feel to it. I was very satisfied with my meal and the sides of Mac N’ Cheese were a nice touch.
Highly recommend to anybody looking for some solid BBQ in Syracuse. You won’t be disappointed!

Five stars isn’t enough for Brickyard BBQ. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family. The owner and staff are welcoming, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do — the kind of place that makes you want to stay awhile.
We tried everything on the menu, and I’d honestly recommend you do the same. But the standouts for me were the smoked turkey, brisket, and pulled pork — tender, juicy, perfectly smoked, and packed with flavor. This is world-class barbecue done right.
The sides are amazing too and deserve their own spotlight. And the homemade sauce? Among the best I’ve ever had. So good that I bought two mason jars to take home — and yes, you can buy it by the jar.
Brickyard BBQ isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. If you love real BBQ, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back.
