Hubby and I were looking for an early dinner with a lake view on Saturday night 10/11/25.
We found Lakeside Drift on beautiful Saranac lake. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our experience!
It was a beautiful view, with over the top service and food.
We took our server, Erin’s recommendations for the rib platter for me. All you had to do was look at the ribs and the meat fell off the bones! Sides were all so good — baked mac and cheese, creamy coleslaw and cornbread.
Hubby chose the clams appetizer for his dinner and shared my rib platter.
To top it all off — another one of Erin’s recommendation — blueberry cheesecake. It was to die for – so creamy and smooth

Sat out on the patio for a lovely dinner. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The crab cakes were delicious (I remembered to take a pic after the first bites). Ordered the coleslaw on the side, and cheese curds too. There was barely anyone there at 5pm when we arrived which worried me, but food was absolutely amazing, and really high quality. Our best vacation meal yet.

Had lunch early on a Saturday afternoon in late summer. We found the place because no where else in town was open for lunch before noon. Crowd was light. We sat at the bar and service was friendly and attentive. My husband enjoyed his Bloody Mary. I don’t believe they use a premix. The view is excellent. We appreciated that they have a parking lot. Husband enjoyed his scallops, and I enjoyed my pulled pork poutine though it was a little too salty for me. Overall great experience.

Had a great dinner here tonight and very much enjoyed the beautiful view of Lake Flower! I had the Adirondacks Fish Fry and it was amazing, some of the best French fries I’ve ever had. My husband enjoyed the steak frites. Will definitely be back!

WOW! We are on the last day of a 4 day vacation and Lakeside Drift is by far the winner of dinner!!! As former resturant owners and chefs ourselves this resturant is a must!! Everything tasted fresh and incredible! I enjoyed the Fish Fry, my husband got the burger and my girls got the Poké bowl and the Mexi bowl (the chips with this dish were homemade and sooooo good!!) The service was fantastic start to finish. Thank you Lakeside Drift for closing out our vacation with such a win! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the Adirondack’s!

The patio seating was perfect! Great service from Helle. The food was phenomenal with great flavor. The steak chiller were a great start to our meals. Didn’t have room for desert so we took home a peanut butter explosion cake and was the best meal all area !

Went out to eat on 11/15/25 for my second time trying lakeside drift. First time I had takeout and got the birria pizza which was some the best pizza I’ve ever had. Decided to come back for a celebration dinner and was not disappointed. Ordered the Adirondack steak chiller for an appetizer and it was 10/10. Meals and drinks were great. The atmosphere was lovely and decorated for Christmas time. Our server, Helle, provided top-notch service and always came to check on our table with such a cheery smile that truly made this experience so much better. I recommend everyone to try the new Lakeside Drift in Saranac lake.

We wanted to like it. The setting overlooking the water is delightful and it’s cute inside. But it has to be one of the worst restaurant experiences of our lives. We were seated…it was 20 minutes before someone returned. We received a mild apology and placed our drink order. The vodka peach spritz cocktail was undrinkable. After we told the waitress we didn’t want a replacement, but we thought the juice in the drink might be bad she apologized again, and left the drink to stare at us for the remainder of the meal. We ordered the mushroom pasta with chicken and the fish fry. The pasta showed up without chicken. The waitress asked if she could ‘bring the chicken on the side’. A bowl of what had to be previously frozen and reheated in the microwave chewy, mealy chicken showed up. Another 15 minutes lasped after receiving the check and immediately putting the card in to pay before they took it. The only bright spot was the fish and chips, the fish was decent the fries were great. They also took off the drink from the bill without us asking. Can’t fathom coming back here again though. Sad about this as a local.
