This has become my favorite Mexican spot in Frankfort! The service, the food, the atmosphere and the drinks are all superb. I eat there a few times a month on my lunch break. My fiancé and I go there on the weekends sometimes as well. My favorite is the camarones a la crema.. shrimp with cream cheese and chipotle sauce. YUMMY!! I also like their chicken chimichangas, as well as the taco salad. The service is always excellent, regardless of if I am doing a carryout order or if we eat in. The salsa is just right. Some places put too much cilantro for my taste, but they are on point here. They also have happy hour every day at 4.. Two-for-one margaritas and beer specials.. they also have a daily food special. It is something different each day of the week. There are TVs where folks can watch sports and have a drink at the bar. I 100% recommend this place and I will continue to be a patron. Kudos to you guys; you do a great job!!!

I came here a month ago and had probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I usually come here to get my mom’s food because she loved their food. I ordered online and waited by the bar area. I told the server my order and he immediately looked irritated. I assumed they may have been busy so I waited patiently and thought nothing of it. After 20 minutes of standing and seeing my order had shown ready for 30 minutes on my app, I asked a server how long it would be. He treated me as if I were a burden and said “I don’t know, we’re really busy right now, sorry” and shrugged. They kept brushing past me as if I was in their way repeatedly so eventually I just went back to my car. 5 minutes past and I made my way back inside to see if it was ready and they sat it on a table. I came in to ask if it was mine and I was rudely ignored. To be honest, I’m pretty sure they thought I was a DoorDash employee and I didn’t matter to them. Not realizing this was MY personal order. They were highly discriminatory towards me and I believe racist to my surprise. I am multiracial and I’m used to being treated as if I’m less than around Frankfort, but they couldn’t have made it more clear that I was a bothersome after watching how attentive they were to their white customers. The food quality was just as bad as the service. It was greasy and runny and multiple items were wrong. I was really disappointed. I was 2 months pregnant and hungry, this was so hurtful. It’s a shame how issues like this go unseen because people of color are treated as nothing.

We hadn’t been to this restaurant before since we live on the east side, but we finally decided to give it a try. Our waiter was super nice, just wasnt too sure about one of the drinks we ordered. He brought over another guy, pretty sure his name was Carlos, who handled it right away. Honestly, I didn’t expect to get such a good martini at a Mexican spot (I probly should’ve just got a margarita but I was craving it). Everyone was really friendly and the portions of every dish were plenty to have left overs. We’ll def be back.

This is passable tex-mex food. Nothing wa very special. The mixed fajitas did have a lot of shrimp, though. The .margaritas need some effort. They were out of “on the rocks” and only had frozen. This kind of says everything.

Order takeout via doordash…big mistake! I paid a hefty price tag for very little food! Portion was ridiculously small. I called but they refused to remake or replace the food, stating it was a doordash issue. Quality was terrible. I will not go back! Pitiful customer service.

Ok I gave them another chance and now the platter has less than before I guess they don’t like honest reviews and the restaurant is nasty , floors tables and just the outside trash everywhere, I’m done.This is why I drive all the way to Lawrenceburg, Casa Bonita actually gives you nice servings for their price. This place just covers the bottom of the pan and charge too much. You can see how it’s barely full from the sides of the pan. Food is good, portions are terrible.

They seem to target people that order on the cheaper side. My husband and I came in with our two toddlers. We ordered two lunch specials and split them with the kids. As soon as we said we were splitting food, they stopped waiting on us other than the bare minimum. It would have been fine, but this is the 3rd time this has happened to us at this location.
The food was also super soggy and greasy like it had been microwaved.
Also, for anyone that wants to use the bar, beware. We passed the bar area to leave and noticed mold, and dirt caked in the bar fridge. If that is what is out for the customers to see, I am a little afraid of what the kitchen looks like. So, please just be cautious.

Great restaurant from top to bottom highly recommend. If you go there hopefully Carlos is working he is an awesome waiter and even better bartender with a great personality. Everyone i have encountered there honestly are great at what they do but Carlos is my favorite and deserved this review and mention.
