Finally got around to trying this ice cream parlor this past March and was a pleasant first experience. Upon walking in, obviously browsing the flavors was the first thing in which it didn’t take long to realize that Village Creamery was a Filipino ice cream joint.
With flavors like Avocado, Durian, Matcha, Ube and especially Halo Halo, I suspected this place was a Filipino ice cream shop. The young guy at the counter confirmed and I mentioned that I was half-Filipino.
Wonderful tasting ice cream at still fair prices in a clean dining space with friendly service. We live pretty far north in northeastern Lake Co but are sorta in the area a few times a year primarily at Old Orchard Mall so more than likely we’ll be back here soon to offer support.

I discovered this place a few years ago while working in the area. I surely thought I did a review. A coworker is in the area this week and when I went to recommend this place I couldn’t find my review. I still have the pictures on my phone. So 2 years late but here it is. It was nice sampling the different flavors. I had heard of durian fruit on Bizarre Foods and probably wouldn’t have tried it fresh but the durian ice cream was decent. I had a sundae the first time I stopped in and Halo Halo the second time. Great place, friendly people.

Filipino ice cream shop! I’m surprised I haven’t encountered one sooner. Sooo many flavors.
Had to get the halo halo ice cream sundae since everyone kept talking about it. Approx ~$10 you choose 2 flavors and it comes with Asian fruits (coconut, jellies, beans, corn) whipped cream and a cherry with almonds.
I got the halo halo fiesta and ube Oreo flavors. It was a little hard to get a good feel for the flavors under the whipped cream.
The ice cream was thick and creamy. If I ever come back I’ll try other flavors and opt for no whipped cream.
Service was whatever, but they fulfilled my request of less ice cream; I’d come back if I have the chance.

This place is amazing, with many flavors you’ll never find at a Baskin Robbins or a supermarket ice cream aisle. Some of the creamiest ice cream I’ve ever had, and it’s getting increasingly difficult to stick to my plan to try every flavor instead of just ordering one of my favorites every time.

Great flavors that you can only get at this Filipino ice cream place! They are so good and fresh and flavors you cannot get anywhere else like: jackfruit, lychee, durian, Thai tea, avocado, queso, ube oreo, Superman, matcha green tea, mango, whiskey, red bean, and some traditional ones too like chocolate and strawberry and Rocky road. They give you free samples! For two gigantic scoops (8 oz total or 1/2 pint) it’s was $9.96 including tax. If you bring cash it’s 3.5% less than paying by credit card. Nice staff and nice and quiet environment with seating. You will love the 47 flavors.

During our recent visit to Village Creamery, we had tried out a few of their signature treats.
We opted for the Creamy Halo-Halo, Mango Bubble Shake, and Chocolate Scoop.
However, there were a few aspects that left us feeling less satisfied. One notable downside was the pricing. We found the prices to be a bit on the higher side, considering the portion sizes and overall experience.

Nice home made ice cream. Tasty and competitively priced. Close to h mart. Ample seating and parking. They have some tubs too.
I wish they had said if some sort. Eg ice cream of the week on sale. Then I would probably come soften.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. They allowed us to sample many flavors before making our decisions. There were many unique flavors to choose from, I recommend the turtle fudge.

So many variety of flavors! I like it! But the one flavor bubble tea /smoothie is bad. The tapioca’s texture is like plastic
