It was pretty good, I would eat the birria taco again, but the jus with it did taste kind of maybe, old? or fortified with powder or something? I can’t put my finger on it but I would give it another go because the meat was delicious and I love the oxaca cheese oozing out…just the right amount of burndy bits ecerywhere too.

I had asked if they peel the lingua and was told they do but low and behold I had spiky tastebuds in my tacos, which, I get it if you like it or believe it is authentic or whatever, but for me it isn’t appetizing so I picked those pieces out and while it was nice and tender, it just didnt have that rich flavor I love.

I did liove the escobeche with all the food, nice and tangy and the oregano comes through, lends a bit of spice.

Salsas were nicely flavored but not much heat at all, maybe you have to ask for hot sauce, we did go through the drive-thru so perhaps there are other choices when you dine-in.

I ordered taquitos and got flautas, or at least what I have grown up knowing flautas to be, chicken in flour tortilla, rolled and deep fried. Theyvwere tasty though, and like super-stuffed fatties. One thing I noticed on the to-go order is the care taken to separate the cold lettuce/guacamole/crema from the hot flautas.. usually you get home and the lettuce is a wilted mess so that was a nice thoughtful touch.
There weren’t many refried beans, maybe about 3 or 4oz with the meal so it was a bummer because the beans had a really good flavor. The rice was really salty though, maybe an off day, but it was fluffy and visually and texturally appealing.

All in all, for as high as a lot of the ratings are, it wasnt as to die for as I was expecting, but it was good and the person taking my order was pleasant but extremely brief which is fine but a warm welcome always sets a good vibe. I did notice looking inside the window while I was waiting, that the staff was dressed neat and tidy and the area I could see was exceptionally clean, which is friggin awesome so I gave them 4 out of 5, all things considered. I bet they have good days, and exceptional ones sprinkled in. I hope tto catch them on an exceptional day next time. 🙂

I absolutely love this place. You can go to the drive-thru or you can dine in. They serve beer inside the restaurant. Every time I’ve been here everything is spotless. They are friendly. Very quick to get you your food and is always very good I haven’t ever been here once where it wasn’t good. They have a chips and salsa bar for you so you can snack before you eat. Good prices of wide variety of drinks. Can’t say enough about this place it’s the best I’m so glad that I stumbled upon it.

Not to sure if it was an off day for them or what. I did not feel very welcomed there. It was an order from the counter and I was alright with that. I prefer service at the table but as I stated I was alright with that. What is not acceptable and this goes to the service aspect of grading a restaurant when the gentleman waiting on me seemed a bit rude and just wanted to make my order, pay for it and go sit down. His body language was I was wasting his time. I just about walked out but I decided to follow his instructions. #2 is about the food which the carnitas burrito was very dry with some white rice and a strip of cheese in it and I could only eat half of it and tossed the rest. The best thing was the rice and beans that was palatable. #3 is atmosphere was alright with typical Mexican decor. The man was walking around cleaning the floors and never looked my way or asked how was the food. Not a place I will go back to.

Delicious! Lengua tacos were superb. On the drive home I realized I forgot to order fried jalapeños. Got home and, bless their hearts they even added a nice fried Serrano pepper❤️

Love this place. Love the decor, the seating, the chip bar, and the friendly staff. This was my first time in, and I’m so glad we gave it a try!

The menu is extensive and the gentleman working the counter was very kind and patient as we looked it over, and he gave us a few suggestions. Of course, I had to try their pollo a la crema. We wandered over to the chip/salsa bar and indulged the options.

Great salsas, and loved that the chips were warm. Our food came out in fine time & the portions were LARGE. I really loved their rice! It had great flavor. I took my leftover chicken home and enjoyed it for lunch the next day.

We will def. be back. I can’t wait to try their tacos and other items on the menu. My favorite part about dining in here is the beautiful carvings on the booths. Amazing details.

This was a great place to eat. The food was super delicous and plentiful. We each had the Birria plate. It was super tasty and well seasoned, but not juicy like being freshly dipped in the consomme. I would have liked a more Chile forward and added vinegar consomme. The tamale was great and the chips and salsa bar was a bonus. Service was excellent and food comes out fast. A great go to restaurant.

My family and I always come here to eat when they come to town. My hispanic parents are incredibly picky when it comes to their Mexican food…This is the only place they want to eat now. So, it’s pretty good.

breakfast burrito was good. Adovada and asada were good but way too salty. Lengua was chunky and cooked well but not much flavor. Love the grilled onion and pepper and the chips and salsa bar. Very nice people working there and the restaurant is very clean and bright.

I’ve been in Idaho for a year and a half, from Southern Arizona. I’ve been searching for delicious quality Hispanic food the whole time. I was thrilled to find Taqueria Sol de Jalisco this weekend. The atmosphere is great, the proprietors are awesome and you can really tell esta amor en la comida. Verdad. And hands down the best chili relleno that I’ve ever had. I’m going again tonight.
