Had a wonderful dining experience ❤️ We went there to celebrate my father in law’s birthday. We were greeted with the friendly hostess and our waitress was very tentative. It has a very nice ambience with the decor and lighting. There is a bar you can sit at as well. Loved that the menu was simple too. I got the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection for me and had great flavor so it was seasoned well. We all enjoyed what we got. The spinach augratin was mmm mmm good too and my baked potato was huge and cooked well too as sometimes asked potatoes can be dry or hard so this one was good.
Drinks were delicious too. Overall a great experience.

Went here for Dinner Saturday night 8:00 p.m. there were only 2 tables with people So they were not busy…server was very nice but the food was Not! We both ordered Pork Chop but kitchen only had 1! Thats fine but when the food came the pork chop was Absolutely Burnt! Could not eat it. The food of my companion was not any better Sorry but this was Not a good Dinner

This was my worst dining experience ever. This review could be taken as extremely picky or having unrealistic expectations – it is truly insane how horrible the food was, especially for the price.
My husband’s birthday was this past Sunday – so we went to Ticos with a good friend to celebrate.
It took about 10 minutes at the hostess stand to be greeted. Once we were seated, we asked for a cocktail menu – they don’t have one, but they do have wine list.
We started with the cheese sticks. It took around 45 minutes to get them. They were pale, cold, and tasted very unremarkable. Like the ones you would get in a high school cafeteria.
I order the blackened pork chop with sautéed mushrooms. My husband ordered the large filet cooked medium with a loaded baked potato. Our friend ordered the blackened pork chop with broccoli au gratin.
A picture of my pork chop and mushrooms are attached, it came undercooked – it had to be sent back. The “sauteed” mushrooms were like a soup – basically boiled? They were not good.
My husband’s steak came back rare. He had to send it back. His potato was off – he had 3 bites of it.
Our friend’s pork chop was also undercooked and had to send it back. The broccoli au gratin was the worst smelling and tasting thing I’ve ever tried in my whole life. She sent it back without a replacement.
We were sent complimentary desserts, very very sweet gesture by our waitress, but they were mediocre and tasted like the pies you can buy at the freezer section of a grocery store.
Our waitress was very kind and gave us 10% off of our tab.
I will never be back, it makes me sick how much we spent for such a disappointing experience which was meant to be a celebration.

Our group of fraternity pledge brothers from 45 years ago had an enjoyable dinner at Tico’s in Oxford. We had fillets, ribeyes, and fish. It was all delicious. We will definitely be going back. Callie was a great server.

Fabulous experience! We had a party of 8 yesterday 5/9/25 at 430 for graduation dinner. Everything was perfect from being seated, our waitress, appetizers, meals, drinks, service etc.
We had a variety of food ordered, from steaks, chicken, crab cakes, asparagus, mushrooms, salads, baked potatoes, wine, espresso martini. Everyone was raving about their cuts of steak on flavor and tenderness.
Atmosphere, service and food was great. Thanks to everyone yesterday 5/9/25 for a wonderful experience celebrating our daughters master’s graduation from Ole Miss.

We had an amazing dinner at Tico’s. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the seasoning used was superb. The service was outstanding. We’re already excited about a return visit which will be soon. Kudos to team there for a 5 star experience!

So fire. Best filet I’ve ever had in my life. Just amazing. Definitely a hidden gem in oxford! Our server Sophie was great. She was doing a lot around that place and was still attentive.

Mixed experience for sure. We were seated promptly, the restaurant was empty due to basketball game I guess. The steaks were decent but seared to the point of crispness. The hot plate with butter was a nice touch, steak was still sizzling on it. The bread was not hot and it was tasteless. The creamed spinach was covered with a gelatinous yellow cheese and it was lukewarm. The asparagus that was served with the salmon was pale and way over cooked. When the server brought check there was NO itemized list. Service was lackluster at best. We will not be back.

Dined on on 4/26, a very busy Saturday night in Oxford. The meal was excellent. Onion rings were served crispy and fresh as they should be. Steaks were seasoned and prepared very well. Baked tater was served hot and with plenty of butter, as it should be. Bone in ribeye was excellent and should be a menu staple. Only complaint would be that the mushrooms are thinly sliced at this location whereas the Ridgeland location serves them whole. Easily the best steak in Oxford.

Food and service could not have been better. Crabcake & steak bites appetizers excellent. Pork chop and fish special (salmon + crabmeat) were great. Service very attentive. Drinks OK. Not wild about the animal-heads-on-the-wall decorations….more of a men’s smoking lounge atmosphere. Notwithstanding, will be going back. Good job.
