The food here is absolutely wonderful and made with love and care. I’ve been here multiple times, and each time everything is delicious with an attention to detail and freshness. Mexican cuisine is my favorite type of food, and among the countless Mexican restaurants I’ve been to around the world, Tacos Poncitlan really stands out. We were so excited to try Tacos Poncitlan at its new location here in Pasadena. This restaurant has been in business since 1994 so we expected it would be good. WRONG! It was GREAT!
We ordered the carne asada, grilled fish, and veggie taco for a quick light lunch. All were tasty and satisfying, especially when you consider the low price. The handmade corn tortillas stood out, as did the smoky red sauce on the fish taco.
After just one visit I can safely say that this place will be our go-to neighborhood spot for super tasty inexpensive tacos.
So, do yourself a favor and give this place a try soon.

Tacos Poncitlan is the best! This taco shop is our go-to spot—hands down the best in the area. The food is always amazing and super authentic. They’ve got a great variety on the menu, so there’s something for everyone. We’ve been here so many times and never had a bad dish. The staff is super friendly, too. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out—you won’t be disappointed!
