This is a great choice value for quality of food-wise reasons. The ambiance has more of an l and l feel. The restaurant is clean and the table spacing is adequate but the furnishings are quite plain. They use quality dishes for their culinary offerings and the portions are quite generous so overall it is a good experience. The restaurant is rather small so there is only one waitress who is very friendly and as efficient as she can be (I think possibly only one person in the kitchen as well) but the wait time for the food and the order it comes out is the only flaw in this otherwise, great place. So as long as you have extra time and are into a longer than usual dining experience, you will truly enjoy the excellent food here at restaurant Domo. The soft shell crab was delectable and the Hamaci and Maguro were enormously portioned.

Delicious old school Japanese restaurant in Kaneohe. Only had 1 waitress but service was neither slow nor rushed. Food was tasty.

Woah! Best place I’ve tried outside of Japan. The flavors were spot on! Price and size of meals were perfect. Tried some sushi (cali & spicy tuna) also had some stir fry noodles (udon).

I will never forget the expression on our mother’s face. The food served was reminiscent of her childhood in Osaka, Japan. Her dementia didn’t stop fond memories that came into her mind with every bite of the food served to her. Thank you “Domo”.

It’s a tiny place and they have 1server/waitress and 1chef today. Consider of short staff they did excellent job. From order taken to get the dishes out it took 40 min. I ordered 3 choices combo with Sashimi (All ahi n it was great cut!), miso yaki butter fish(super yummy ) and tonkatsu(pork cutlet..it was okay). Miso soup came with combo was very good too however a big disappointment on rice.

Poor service … NOT friendly and shred NO Aloha to visitors or tour drivers who support Waimea. I was appalled at the smart mouth counter woman… The young Hawaiian gentleman at counter was only shining light of general kindness and thankfulness for all the visitors there… Wake Up Waimea…we want to support you , but geez show some appreciation and Aloha for that tour drivers and tour directors do for you…
